How about? FVV / KPJ / Brooks / Green The Elder / Sengun Amen / Green The Younger / Whitmore / Smith / Landale
Didn't he play more PF? Just find it unlikely, he's been mostly a PF/C for like 5 years now. Eason is a really skinny SF who can chase people around. Feels like Whitmore will not be getting minutes unless he beats out Green and Eason.
Might get flamed for this, but with KPJ spot up shooting that might be the best starting lineups with Green getting 32-34 as a microwave scorer. Wouldn’t be my preference and it depends on what the team is trying to do
FVV----------Amen Green-------KPJ-----------Tate Eason-------Brooks------Tate Smith-------Green Sengun-----Landale
The big forward spot is wide open: Smith, Eason, Whitmore, and Green. A lot of growth from these talented players should happen before eyes. Smith is going to earn a spot on this team or be passed over like an after though. Lots of egos and chips on shoulders with things to prove. We will see. Green and Porter battling should be fun, too. Loads of talent but only so much playing time.
Because of the big dumb free agency grab, I think they bring KPJ in as 6th man to play combo guard. I would rather he was starting at 3 over Brooks but oh well. FVV/KPJ/Amen Green/KPJ/Tate Brooks/Tari/Tate Smith/Green/Tari/Tate Sengun/Landale/Green As stated already, the shooting is atrocious. The only hopes are FVV reverts to his earlier better averages, Green improves to at least the end of his rookie year, Brooks doesn’t shoot or only shoots spot-up, Smith improves greatly, and Sengun improves enough so that it isn’t like his rookie year when you couldn’t play him with another non-shooter who can be left open (definitely Tate, potentially Brooks, maybe Tari).
I really don’t care which one makes the most out of the situation, I just want to see improvement. Hopefully a star is made because of competition.
You have confused Vernon with Cedric ..... Cornbread Maxwell played for the Celtics and was 1981 Finals MVP. He lost his starting spot to Rockets legend Kevin McHale and won back to back 6th man of the year awards.
Would KPJ be accepting to coming off the bench in a 6th man role? Van Vleet/Thompson Ja.Green/Porter Jr Brooks/Tate/Whitmore Smith Jr/Eason/Je.Green Sengun/Landale Seems to be the rotation.
FVV / Amen Green / Whitmore KPJ / Brooks Jabari / Tari Sengun / Landale I really think Brooks needs to come off the bench to make sure the second unit doesn’t fall apart KPJ should start to ensure shooting and floor spacing with Green and Jabari FVV needs to be the starting vet and Brooks needs to lead the second unit and make sure we don’t take are foot off opponent’s throats
Yeah, but then we won't get to laugh at the offensive ineptitude of the starting lineup.... Also, Brooks is a headcase that the team is stuck with for at least 3 years due to his absurd contract....if you don't start him and make him the focal point of the offense, he's going to be a locker room cancer that you can't excise.
VanVleet-Green-Brooks-Smith-Sengun. Whether Sengun sticks as the starting center long term depends on how well Jabari can help cover up some of his defensive weaknesses.
Right now I'd guess FVV/Amen Green/KPJ Brooks/Tari Jabari/Tate Sengun/Jock If Green doesn't take another step this year I could see him coming off bench in favor of KPJ. I'm not worried too much about the shooting, young players improve all the time, look at KPJ - his efficiency was dogshit but improved last season. Efficiency will improve with better shot selection and an actual offensive system. Brooks I'm afraid there's no hope for.
Sengun/Jock Smith/Eason Brooks/KPJ or Eason depending on need/matchup Green/KPJ FVV/Amen 9 guys right there. Mix in Cam a but. Jeff Green can play 4 or 5 as well.
