I hate this trade, for one thing Dillon Brooks sucks ass. For another we massively overpaid like Shaq and Barkley were saying he better pack his bags for China and Rockets really gave him 20M? Like which team was even in the running to sign him? Third Rox needed to do a red wedding just to get him on the team like we really gifted Atlanta 4 picks and cash just to get Dillon Brooks? Regardless how you see those guys they were worth at least 1 second rounder each at the minimum. Hell Tyty was a first rounder just a year ago. I've been a massive fan of Stone since he got hired but got to be honest this is one of the dumbest moves I've ever seen in a long time from any front office. Off season went from B+/A to C/D just cuz of this move. When Brooks becomes unplayable cuz he cant shoot for **** and plays like a 5-10 min 3rd tier bench scrub y'all will know how bad this move is.
His last season was bad, ok. But 2022 stats were 18.4 ppg, 3.2 rb, 2.8 asists, 1.1 steals. Lebron fanboys caused everyone hate him. But i like this type of players. Is he a bad shooter? Ok, use him more in defense, less in offense.
I do, actually. I think he’s immediately the second-best in Rockets history. It goes like this: 1. Aaron 2. Dillon 3. scottie 4. Armani
I need the complete contract details first, confirmed by multiple people. I know IKO said no options 100% guaranteed but I still can't believe it yet, I'm in denial.
Dillion is a 32-33% 3 point shooter, so he is a average defender. He is not a good shooter but he is a tough, mean, smart defender. We have not seen a defender like him since Artest or Mad Max. He is a bully
We originally drafted Brooks, if some remember. I wonder what future 2nd round pick we got from them and where we sent it. All of this because Brooks accidentally his the King's jewels. We are lucky to have him at the rate we got him, imo.
While I think the draft was an A+, I don't think the off-season moves could've been worse. We overpaid some veterans to fill out a roster so we can maybe win 30 games. All this "culture" BS is just coping. We went from hoping to get maybe James Harden, Brook Lopez, or perhaps even Porzingis to getting average to below average starters on huge contracts. Far from impressive.
Problem is he lacks self awareness and won’t listen to his coaches. He is going to jack up shots no matter what Ime tells him.
Defense only guys aren't worth 20M a year. Averaging only 3.2 rebs is very worrisome to me why can't he get more boards? Does he avoid contact or what?
f He looks like he's playing every possession of the game like it's the last 2 minutes. What an engine this guy has.
38% on wide open catch & shoot three's...along wth ALL NBA defense. Ime is the right coach and this is the right place for him. Ironically, I despise what's been done in the last 24, but not this.
