I don’t even need a good bottle of water. I’ve been ready to trade KPJ for a Dasani for some time now…
But he’s a head case and a cancer, that’s the problem. Should have been the first one moved but of course he has zero trade value.
He is a headcase. I agree. But he has been trying to find some mentor. Ime is the new sherrif in town. Ime going to get him right. watch.
Except he's not an UFA until next year. If all you'll get back is 2nd rd picks, just let him come off the bench and see what he has. Or, wait till the trade deadline.
No doubt. It's not like KJ is going to have a guaranteed role with the Clippers. He is not a very skilled player.
We could have had kmj for 1.9 million but valued Jeff green at 6 million. hopefully @BimaThug will help me to see the genius behind this one in the next 24 hours.
This was a roster clearing move with a player who has been indirectly vocal about his playing time/role. Feels like we could have been more patient though, especially if something happens with Dame and Harden then we could have been a third team.
Well good thing you aren't a coach, GM or scout. People judging him too harshly when Rockets were supposed to lose games. I don't understand how that's so hard to understand but everyone's entitled to their own opinion. I guarantee you if he were to get traded it wouldn't be for the underwhelming return the Rockets got for KMJ. Other teamss value him more than Rocket fans and that's a damn shame lol. I'm friends with a couple of retired NBA players. People around the league like his talent. If he's still here when the season starts I look forward to seeing him play with good coaching.
Not concerned about trading Martin but trading a young 13 ppg and 6 rpg 56% fg guy for ONLY 2nd-round picks is confusing considering they are giving Brooks with almost similar stats 4-year $80 mil. Seems the Rockets got robbed in this deal.
Yep. Making the move now for such a shitty return means they flat didn't want him around. My guess is that he rubbed the front office the wrong way with his trade demands last year. Burned his bridges. Too bad because he was worth way more than two useless draft picks.
I trust what Ime is doing. Getting rid of them for a good reason Like Gil said, the stuff yall doing now will get you out the league quick
Pretty serious response to a Dasani joke, friend. His skill isn’t the issue, it’s what’s between the ears. I’m skeptical he works that out, but it has nothing to do with failing to understand the concept of a player potentially not looking their best on a tanking team.
Well the Rockets tanked. People were upset Sengun kept getting benched but he was playing a little too well lol. Coach Silas and Nix were perfect for what they needed to do which was lose games. I think they were hoping Nix would improve and raise his value more so they could trade him instead of waiving him. The best thing that can happen for the Rockets is one of Green, Sengun, Bari, Tari, Amen and/or Cam becoming a star in the league. A draftee becoming a franchise player changes everything. We need at least one of them to take a big leap this year.
