ok we got FVV but missed out on B.Lopez, hope my plan B kicks in now: use the rest cap space to trade for Myles Turner now!! Hou. receive: M.Turner Pho. receives: K.Porter jr. + K.Martin jr. + D.Theis + Hou.SRP (They trying to trade Ayton for multiple rotation players) Ind. receives: D.Ayton + Hou.SRP x2 (they have alot shooters on the team, Ayton is a better rebounder and post-up player down low, he could be a 24/12 player on the Pacers and $5mil. cheaper than Turner. Pacers also get rid of Theis and saves total $15mil./yr. after this trade) Trade a SRP to Wizards for D.Wright and trade Tate + Jaygup + TyTy to Spurs for Z.Collins + C.Bassey (Z.Collins is expiring, Tate/TyTy are Pop's type of players) Room Exp.: C.Joseph Vet. min.: Boban, Kaminsky, D.Green Sengun(30), C.Bassey(18), Boban M.Turner(30), Z.Collins(18), Garuba, Kaminsky J.Smith(30), T.Eason(18), Whitmore (start the season in g-league for playing time, call-up after maybe 2~3 months after) J.Green(30), D.Wright(18), D.Green, Hudgins VanVleet(30), C.Joseph(18), Amen (start the season in g-league for playing time, call-up maybe 2~3 months after) should be 7~10 for a play-in spot this season, and how far this team can go depends the young core's (Green/Amen/Bari/Tari/Sengun/Whitmore) development in the next 3 years
Point guard: Jordan Clarkson Rationale: The Jazz are one of the teams that have been eyeing Martin for a while with Jazz executive Danny Ainge said to have been a fan of the 22-year-old's upside. TyIy Washington JI.'s value is probably diminished some as he barely saw the floor after being drafted in the first round but he's still only 21 years old and would benefit from a less crowded point guard room. I could imagine Houston haggling over the added second-round pick but in the end, the Jazz deem the draft compensation necessary to get a deal over the line.
Remember, Clarkson picked up his option but he can be signed to an extension at any time, as long as the parameters fall within the new CBA guidelines. I could easily see Houston offering something like two years, $32 million.
Not sure what your question is?? Lakers were the highest revenue team last year with $316M coming in. https://m.basketnews.com/news-18438...es Lakers are,the centerpiece among NBA teams. How much are you worried that they are spending? I'm not even sure they are in lux tax land yet... Or is your question about how the NBA salary cap works, specifically around early bird and bird rights and exceptions?
A bit much? Usman, who didn't seem all that great, just some flashes here and there, and TyTy that could amount to a solid back up or maybe a starter some day, but really nothing else, plus some 2nd rounders mode than likely. Capela is actually a good player, that would not be a bad deal. We don't have room to keep developing people.
