Said it in another thread, but I'd love to see them pivot to Williams. Not a rim protector, but can guard a lot of positions defensively and hold his own against most bigs despite the smaller size. Elite level shooter and great role player who has experience with Udoka and would give the Rockets a ton of roster flexibility on a nightly basis with rotations. It they truly want to add defenders, shooters and team-first guys, Williams is all those things.

 

Dillon Brooks ain’t worth 17 dollars. YOU want to give 90% of our capspace to Dillon freaking Brooks who the Grizzlies didn’t even want. Lopez was critical if it meant a drop to Brooks or some no offense guy like Williams.

 

Time to get creative on the trade front

 

If there's anyone this team DEFINITELY needs it's a SF with a 49% TS that was incredibly upset that he was only allowed to take 14 shots per game last year, demanding a larger role in the offense.

That fits in SOO well with what the Rockets are looking to become.

 

Finding the best deals to reach the cap floor, unfortunately, it might become a quantity-over-quality choice at this point. Find the BPA at positions of need for the money and fill in accordingly.

It likely won't be a stunning name or names people are totally happy with, but bring in guys, let them compete for spots, and roll with the best team we can given the circumstances.

 

i'm fine with running sengun/bari at center most of the minutes, and signing a 3rd string rim protector for specific team matchups

we also have garuba for small ball lineups

 

There's no off-season where we get every single player we go after. Get the F out of LA LA land.

 

Mason Plumlee?

 

Mo Bamba or C Wood at this point. The coach probably can make them better team players.

 

Wasn’t he a capable starter for Charlotte before splitting minutes with Zubac in LA? Not many options left at C

 

I'm fine giving Bamba a shot off the bench. I want nothing to do with Wood. We've seen how that plays out, and it was plenty ugly the forat time.
