Was thinking about this too. FVV is a high volume 3P shooter who can play off the ball and Amen is more than big enough to guard most SFs. If Amen is blowing everybody away and ahead of schedule, let him do the rookie LeBron point forward thing and turn FVV into an off-ball player who guards PGs.
I’m really not trying to rag on Jalen but I see Amen, KPJ, Sengun being the big 3 with Jabari being a Chris Bosh super role player Green has to show me a lot this next year
They were severely lacking a core skill that allows you to escape mediocrity: iso penetration leading to free throws and rim pressure. Nurse ran these guys into the ground trying to get the defense to collapse but it was just hopeless. Luckily we have Jalen Green.
Depends on scheme, there are different options. FVV/Whitmore/Eason/Sengu/Lopez lineup can deploy defensively as a 3-2 zone, as these 3 perimeter players are ELITE disruptors. That’d be an interesting scheme to try.
I'm not mad about it, I think it's hilarious. I'm fully on board with the Rockets plan to create the worst shooting team in the modern NBA. Kid, simply because you are a player first type fan, it doesn't mean ANYONE else is. It's basically confession through projection on your part.
You tell me the number instead of being vague. Then you tell me the evidence you have that there are no teams interested in any other player you don't include. I'm appreciative of your amusing comments.
In no specific order guys who are better: Luka Dame Harden SGA Steph Haliburton Fox Ja Kyrie Brunson Garland Holiday Murray Ball[/QUOTE] Thanks for agreeing with me... probably a few more if you're basing it on how he played last year. He had one of the worst ts% of any starting point guard.
Ok bucko, I’ve been here longer than you youngster. It’s ok, we know how mad you are. It’s obvious my the same repetitive post over and over and over again. It’ll get better Chief, keep your head up and mouth relaxed
You just listed 6 guys who apparently don’t provide what you’re looking for. Perhaps we consolidate some of them for one who does.
All things equal FVV provides things we lack on the roster. That doesn't mean they could not have addressed for less than half that price. KPJ had virtually the same value last year as FVV in most analytics. FVV is better for passing and defense, but he may harm development of other players by lack of spacing. We saw what happened with Westbrook... we had to trade our center because the paint was clogged.
