I don't have twitter and twitter won't let you read people's pages anymore without creating an account....

Been out all afternoon since the signing, @J.R. my brother man, have there been any official reports on whether FVV's contract is completely guaranteed or not? Jonathan, Iko, Shams, Woj, anything?

Insane that a deal this big wouldn't have a detailed report out, especially considering the expectations that it was going to be 2 years

Unsettling, but better than a confirmation of it being completely guaranteed

    Thanks

Totally talking out of my ass but saw his agent is Rich Paul so I’m guessing all 3 years guaranteed or a player option.

Heat gave picks to OKC to take him. This was a salary dump.

Instead of Brook Lopez, I'd look at Isiah Stewart and James Wiseman of the Pistons. Stewart is pretty interesting.

If we're going the sign and trade route, maybe some other.. "home" team may be interested in Dillon Brooks, who just so happen to have a wing player that seems to have been the trade block for a couple years now.

    Hou/Tor/Mem

    Memphis get Jae'sean Tate.

Toronto get Dillon Brooks, Usman Garuba, KJ Martin, Brooklyn 24' FRP and lottery protected Brooklyn 26' FRP.

    Houston get OG Anunoby

Toronto in KPJ, KJM, Tate, 3 second round picks

Houston in FVV 3yr 130m, OG one year 18m.

So, basically KPJ, KJM, Tate, and 3 second round picks for OG? That would be tempting, but they've rejected 3 FRPs for OG (though that was before he was an expiring). The larger issue is we'd have to resign OG, and he'd want more than 2 years, which would create a potential issue when resigning Green, Smith, etc.

It would probably take more and maybe we structure the extension where he gets a bunch year 1-2 and less in 3-4, if that is possible to preserve cap space. When I tried to understand the nuances of obtaining OG or Reeves I failed miserably. OG could easily be an all-star SF for 4 years for us. I’m pretty sure we will be able to do some cap maneuvering down the road.
