Should we overpay Brook Lopez to sign him

Not a capologist but yes it's $40.8MM the first year.

So, we have ~$25MM of the $66MM cap space left to spend

I think our chances of getting Lopez went up with the JVV signing.

My fear was he might hesitate coming here if he thought he were the only vet.
Now he knows he wouldn't be.

Signing Brook Lopez with what's left, which is likely what it would take, would be the topper. It would remake our team, big time. Coach Udoka with an interior presence who knows how to play the game, with a perimeter player who knows the game just as well. Our young guys couldn't have better teachers on the court and in practice. I hope it works out that way.

We're going to be seeing some trades. I hope I like them.

Around $20 million a year, probably for 3 years, if we get him.

Stone will probably give him $23-24 million per year, I bet.

FVV and Lopez was the absolute best scenario for The Rockets... If he manages to get them both then wow, incredible job....

I'd be much more excited about signing Lopez than that Van Pelt guy I never even heard of.

Have you seriously never heard of Fred Vanvleet? He's an NBA all-star and a key cog in a team that won a championship. What in the casual?

The old heads know what’s up. You can tell who has followed basketball in every facet for many years compared to the youngins who learn most everything on 2K.

Ah man, I don’t sound like Tinman do I? :p
