They've been averaging 7 month seasons for a while now (2020 excluded). They definitely make rest a priority. But for Pena, he's played in 76/81 games to this point. He's on pace for ~150 games played. That's not an unusual or crazy amount of rest.
Pena season OPS: 0.701 June OPS: 0.617 Last 15 days OPS: 0.596 Last 7 days OPS: 0.577 In what way is he going into one of his good streaks? Dubon's OPS is better than Pena in all 4 of those time frames.
All their starters this series have been regressing, except maybe Perez. But his ERA is sh1tty anyway. I'm confident IF (big IF) we play our best players. Our pitchers gotta do work too. Blanco was above average against a great Dodger offense last game. I'd take the same 6 IP 3 Runs tonight, easily
This actually makes me happy. I didn't need another reason to hate the Rangers, but I'm always looking for more of them.
This has to be the most sensible lineup we've had all season. Probably would have been better with Diaz as catcher and someone else as DH, but both Chas and Diaz are the lineup.
