    He's right about the shooting.

They were the worst shooting team in the league last year then drafted a point guard with a broken shot and the players they are rumored to be adding in FA aren't good shooters either.

Dillon Brooks shot 32.6% from distance (That's worse than Sengun), VanVleet shot 34.2% .... both below league average by several percentage points.

Worst shooting team in the league + broken shot PG + low % shooters in FA = Championship.

    Two problems with adding Brooks:

    1) Shooting.

    2) SF is a position the team has a lot of options at already - even if you move KJM they still have Jabari, Tari, Tate, KPJ, Whitmore & Christopher able to play the spot.

I can see adding a point guard, a center and even a power forward to play behind (or ahead of) Jabari.

But SF seems a waste of an asset to me, particularly one who struggles shooting from distance ....

Also ok with winning 25 games?

I’m done with the garbage seasons. Teach these young guys what it means to be a pro and win. They haven’t seen it yet.

But you originally stated that we had few assists because we missed shots. I corrected you and pointed out that we had few assists because we don't pass the ball in a meaningful way that could lead to an assist. That's what this whole exchange was about.

So it looks like you now agree with me that we had few assists because we suck as passing, and not because we missed shots. If your hypothesis were true then we would rank high in potential assists, but instead we were dead last.

Kyrie from a basketball standpoint is like meeting a super hot, amazing in the sack crazy b****. My head says please no but my body says shut up brain. He absolutely fits what this team needs except for....well...

This happens when you don't win much
That's why we ant to overpay to sign some guys.

Win closer to 40 games te next 2 years, and suddenly we become a destination, because we are loaded with talent that can win

The "ghetto" line was totally unnecessary, I should have called him out for that.

Honestly I posted the thread (which did not reproduce the whole article, FWIW, I subscribe to the athletic legitimately) - because I thought it was worth checking the Rockets MGMT's hopes & dreams in free agency and how it meshes with the new "Phase 2" branding.

it does seem like there's a lot of lowering of expectations going on and the Rockets MGMT are content to just let things happen ("evolve organically") and then say it's THE GRAND PLAN working out exactly as they expected.

Haha talk about thin skinned though? You would think someone who’s on twitter as much as he is would be a little numb to what’s being said in this forum about him.

Well, I can't speak for what others are able to do/say - but as a white guy I would never even consider using that term in that way.

The Rockets are among the teams that would be interested in Johnson, but Johnson’s status as a restricted free agent makes him less of a target. The Nets have seemed determined to keep one of the players acquired in the Kevin Durant deal and the Rockets would be hesitant to tie up money in an offer sheet while the Nets weigh whether to match.

Assuming the same for Austin Reaves?

Meh, I don’t see anything wrong with it no matter the color.
Dude is soft as hell for taking offense to that, wasn’t even directly towards him.

It’s not the Rockets fault they have a shitload of money that must be spent in a down year of free agents.

It's just our luck. It's no different than Harden wanting out when no team with a potential young star was on the brink of competing for a championship. Instead we had to settle for a bunch of unprotected picks and hoping that one of them pans out.
