Well below? He is near league average, and had to create 40% of his 3s unassisted the last 2 years, there are no other creators in Tor.
wrong yet again out of 198 qualified players for TS efficiency, FVV ranks 166. awesome. the only top 20 player at the bottom. oh wait. he isn't top 20. only an idiot would think he is actual top 20 players don't sit at the bottom of this like he does
Basketball is about generating the most efficient shots for your team, not just for yourself. Scoring efficiently yourself certainly helps, but it isn’t the be all end all. And had just one side of the ball, there’s also defense.
1. clearly you missed the out of 198 qualified players. Robert Williams is considered a non-qualifier. But clearly this was a silly dumb attempt at disregarding the point. you Failed once again 2. There are clearly top 20 players who aren't well below average efficiency, that FVV is. Where FVV lies at the bottom. Fact
40.2 % Career FG shooter is not a good shooter....... If he hits 373 from 3, how much of that is off the ball? He isn't a bad player he is just a Meh player - the only value I see in FVV is as a leader, which we do need. I was just hoping with so much cap room we could be getting ALL STAR level players or close to that.....and balance our roster out. We only have 2 players over 6'8" tall - we need some bigs...and we need to move some wings. DD
He has the exact same ts% as cj McCollum, Lamelo ball, and dejounte Murray. Particularly with Lamelo that’s one of the best young players in the league. Because it’s not just about scoring, it’s getting your team to score efficiently.
The last two years 40% of his threes were off the dribble self created, unassisted. On spot up 3s he shoots 40% and from the corner he shoots 42%.
and none of them are top 20 players and ever been close It's one thing to say FVV is a solid player and provides value in a number of areas for a team. It's completely another to call him a legitimate top 20 player in the NBA. He isn't and its not even close
to be fair 55% of his shots com from three. So it is logical, that his overall fg% is lower. Still, he takes too many bad shots. We don’t need him to take contested threes and long twos early in the shot clock. He actually is pretty good at catch and shoot threes and at finishing close to the basket. What else does he bring? Defense for one thing. And he can structure an offense - he is great at moving the ball and if pass to assists we’re measured I guess he would be very high up that list. And he is a NBA champion. As far as mentoring goes you can’t ask for much better. Is he a top 20 player? I doubt it. Would I be very happy if we get him for 80 million 2 years? Definetly!
He absolutely isn't a top 20 player. What he is would be the best pg the Rockets had since James Harden and someone who can bring some semblance of half court structure along with explaining to the kids what it takes to get a ring.
fvv is top 20 in every advanced stat that measures contribution to winning, RAPTOR, LEBRON, WAR. Those are objective measurements. No stat is perfect, but when all of them tell you this guy is an elite winner then it’s probably true. What you are saying is completely subjective. You don’t THINK he is top 20, great, no one gives a sht.
if you don't give a shiit don't quote the post about me making fun of the delusional claim then you're all upset that folks aren't singing praises for FVV while claiming he's a top 20 player in the league. Don't make such a stupid claim then Yeah I don't think, I KNOW he isn't a top 20 player.
