The audio tape is just one exhibit among many that will paint a robust picture of keeping and mishandling national security docs. In a court room, the bravado argument won't help because he still has to explain being in actual possession of classified material, moving it around to hide it from the government etc. The argument only works in public opinion, and then only for sympathetic people who just want a fig leaf to justify the position they wanted to hold anyway.
I am sure we only know a portion of Jack has up his sleeve, if you read the transcript you would have to be brain dead to not think he was "showing it off" for the people at the table, not to mention I have a feeling one or all will be testifying..........by the way I have not heard if they actually got it back or does he still have the Iran plans. I could see JR and Eric moving, hiding, or burying stuff out of loyalty to daddy, but Ivanka and Jared are the ones I trust the least. DOJ asked for December to have time to prepare for trial. Sure, July would be nice, but you don't want a prosecution this important to be a rush job. As for the delay in the arraignment, I can see that we're going to have a lot of annoying people on twitter freaking out over every little bureaucratic development in this case. A week's delay in deciding the trial date shouldn't be a factor pushing that trial date back. DOJ said they wanted December to have enough time to prepare. Trump will probably ask for a date after Super Tuesday saying he needs even more time to prepare. Nauta's delay probably doesn't impact how Canon decides that argument.
I was just thinking that, hey man, if you can't find a lawyer, we will provide one for you. If your boss is the ex prez, you should have no issues finding a lawyer, the issue is no lawyer wants to have to deal with the baggage that is trump.
