He's trash in playoffs and way historical bad in game 7s.. dude avg 3.2 pts in 4 game 7 or something lol
He signed an extension with Kings No longer on the market. https://www.nbcsports.com/nba/news/...-year-54-million-extension-to-stay-with-kings
He would have been a perfect vet starting SF for the Rockets. I knew it would take about 30m to get him and would have gladly made that move over freaking FVV at 40M, but it is over and done now. I fear we are going to end up with FVV and Dillon Brooks and call it a day. I hope it works and will root like hell for them, but I absolutely hate the idea of Dillon Brooks on this team and I think FVV will take away needed development minutes unless we get rid of KPJ.
I agree.....but I never saw Harrison Barnes as a feasible pickup. As I've said before, most vets will pick the contender over the money. Barnes excepted $18 million per year when we probably would have given him $25 to $30 million. ------------------ See if VanVleet bites on that bait of $80 million over 2 years. Raptors are talking $90 million over 3 years. If Nick Nurse was the reason for VanVleet's conflict with the Raptors.... well he is gone. ------------------ Poeltl seems destined to return to the Spurs ------------------- Would love to have Brook Lopez but I see him going back to Bucks where he starts games for a contender. ---------------------- Yes we agree on VanVleet. I think he is overrated. Less turnovers as Raptors because he basically brought the ball up and handed off to Kawhi, Siakim, Lowry, Gasol, Gary Trent jr, Scottie Barnes over the years.....and had a structured offense of Nick Nurse that wasn't tanking. Those vets knew what they were doing and where to be. The Assists, Steals Deflections, Leadership are skewed as a result of the teammates he played with in past years. As Kawhi and Gasol departed his production went down followed by Lowry leaving. I didn't see much leadership last year from VanVleet. Just distention between VanVleet with Nurse, Gary Trent jr, Siakim and Scottie Barnes. There is more to the story that is not being told
Harrison Barnes signed for 60% of the leaked ask of $30 million/year. No one has the cap space to pay these free agents what they are asking which is why most of the free agents will resign with their current teams. With the new cap rules, where a sign and trade deal "Hard Caps" a team (the second apron? @BimaThug?) most veterans who are the 4-5th starter types are going to have to accepts deals in the $15-$20 million range - or below. Most of those deals will be with their current teams.
