Biggest thing to take from this game amazingly enough is the performance by France against an excellent lineup on the road. I have no trouble if someone said it's the 9 runs scored after a 10 run outburst. They are both really huge.
Radio said FOUR was the either the franchise record or the longest most recent by a rookie (2007 or 2008). Probably most recent Forgot his name and the exact year
Last night seemed like a normal Astros game. They just kept coming with the bats and the bullpen locked it down. Hopefully they’re starting to get right. A good series against the Rangers can totally flip the script. Hopefully Montero can relax a little out there with a 2+ grand slam cushion. If the dude from the Yankees can give up 15 runs in 5 innings and then throw a perfect game, anything is possible! <edit> aside from Javier getting shelled!
France and Diaz are quite an impressive rookie pitcher-catcher duo…quality start after quality start.
We aren't going to know much of anything until after the Texas series. That's the perfect barometer for where we are. A really really good team vs a sad sack Cardinals team. Big difference. I would have felt better about this series only if it was a sweep.
If 10 runs is a curse. What's a back to back 10 run games? Sweep in the next series? Checks schedule, great 4 game series against Texas lol. Jokes aside, hopefully they saved runs. Next series will be big
The Astros have been beating themselves for weeks. That’s the biggest hurdle they need to get over. Finding a way to win last night and then a 10-0 lead tonight is a welcome sight, to say the least.
