He's 18 and 10. And in this scenario a back up to Sengun. They have the cap space. Dude's still got some upside and no he's not the max that most bigs are getting. 35 not 50. Optimistic Udoka can bring out more and maximize players upside. Was just an idea.

 

I don’t think we want any part of that long term Ayton contract. Monty Williams hated coaching him. That tells me a lot. Not really a great defensive big either.

 

Bingo! I've basically just come to the conclusion that our organization hates shooters. I'm expecting us to sign a few bricklayers to huge contracts. I wouldn't be shocked at all. Use 2 top 20 picks and $60 mil in free agency on 4-5 bricklayers.

I understand wanting to add FVV and Brooks and most of the other guys the Rockets are connected to. Kuzma doesn't make sense to me. He's got length, can score and rebound, but he's not a great defender or shooter, he's not efficient and advanced stats have always shown him as a below average player. The Rockets don't need more guys to chuck up 15+ shots a night, especially if they add FVV to the roster. They need defenders and shooters. Until we see some legit journalists or sources connect Kuzma to Houston, I'm not going to take this one too seriously.

 

If they gonna bring him in do and lets see how it all works out.

 

Idk if it’s possible but Rockets would be loaded in depth if they somehow added FVV, Dillon Brooks, Kuzma our starting 5 last year would start on the bench

I’m hoping for one of this Morey-style moves where we end up with a name nobody had mentioned. As long as they are actually good, of course.

I’m more underwhelmed with the strategy they appear to be taking more than the names being mentioned. The two year contracts to geriatrics can hurt this team just as much as longer contracts if our draft picks don’t pan out.

 

in this scenario that's the real actual problem not the two year contracts. if they don't pan out that's significantly the bigger issue to be resolved rather than guys signed short term to help those kids along the way

 

We were a bottom 2 team in the league for 3 years in a row.

I don't know what people expected. Unless you have a Lebron who wants to live in Houston for personal reasons, you're not getting any top tier free agents. Best way to get the best free agents is to improve your team and show a better product.
