FVV is a damn good player. I'd have no problem doing a 2 year max for him. He's the only one I'd really be interested in during this free agency period actually. The others? Meh...
The Celtics made it to game 6 of the ECF in 2020. The team he inherited definitely had previous success in the playoffs.
You know what's even more funny is paying $80m over 2yrs for a guard that's not too much better than what you already have on the roster and $20M+ for a SF in Dillion Brooks who can't shoot. Lopez and Middelton are not coming, so I'd rather spend some money on a guy I know can hit a 3pt shot and get some rebounds.

FVV is way better than KPJ (at pg) and he contributes to winning way more than Wood. Some of you guys just look at ppg rbg apg to determine players contribution to winning.
It's true, you can't just go out and get 30 year old players who can put up 19/7/4 with a 54 TS%. His 34% 3 point shooting is more in line with what the Rockets want to do offensively.
RealGM has Lopez leaning back to bucks. Multiple reports touting Raptors could reach terms with FVV. I feel like our cap space gets absorbed in trades. I’m thinking we make a play for Valancunias (sp?). I have a feeling will be like years past where no one wants to come here. I’m thinking we absorb some expiring as FA reach agreements with other teams. Hoping we keep flexibility for next year. As much as I would dislike like it I can see Brooks on a 2 year overpay with second year TO.
nah. your weird obsession with Wood is clearly evident. that in no way is related to a ROF, especially when that loser already came through here
No I watch games more than stats. FVV is regressing, and, yes it shows up in the stats. I don’t hate FVV the player, just think he is now just a mediocre player that will cost near max. It is a desperate move and doesn’t really make much sense for our roster. It does seem real that we are after Dillon Brooks, which I personally don’t want, but it would be a much more sane move than to pay max for a player on the downside of his career.
True to form. Every single GM in the league would choose VV over your champion. Probably every single scout or current player, ex player or whatever. Even the media knows the ish. Maybe. Just maybe, Udoka gets through to him and he decides to be a team player. As of now, he's a punch line with national media. Facts. I'm sure you know more than those cats right?
I couldn't help but notice you didn't even attempt to address the substance of anything I said.... true to form indeed
To be honest, I have no idea whether you were being sarcastic or not. When I responded, I had quickly assumed you were per your usual. I think VV would be a huge upgrade for us not only based on the numbers, but the intangibles. Would be ideal to have a veteran leader out there with the young dudes on the team. He's still in his prime, has championship experience and plays the right way. The metrics back it up. I think some of you rather watch a team of homegrown players win 25 games than to see actual winning players play on this team.
