Don't understand the Brooks fascination. Especially with Grant Williams being available. And after the Porzingis trade I don't think the Celts match a decent sized contract offer to Grant either! Give me GW ALL DAY over Brooks!
Say what you will about Dillon Brooks' shooting (I think he's shot better from three over his career than any Rockets starter not named Porter Jr.), but if he were to sign a deal with the Rockets on Saturday he would immediately become the best defender on the entire team. I think that's the kind of player Ime wants: tenacious defenders.
I don’t see a big upgrade with Dillon Brooks over Jae’Sean Tate. Brooks shoots slightly better from 3, neither are good. Tate brings more defensive versatility and finishing around the rim.

Guys, stop worrying about his offense numbers, we are going to sign him because at SF you need a DEFENSE STOPPER. There is a reason why different NBA players have career games against us, he do not have a DEFENSE STOPPER. We have not had a DEFENSIVE STOPPER since PJ Tucker. Not everything is about offense. He is a 2nd team ALL DEFENSE team member and we do not have anything like this. Every good team has a DEFENSIVE STOPPER…..it’s time to get to that next level thinking.
If Memphis said he would not come back UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, why would the Rockets consider signing him. We need veterans to help mentor the young core but Brooks is still a child that needs mentoring himself. He needs to be on a team surrounded by vets to put him in place, and that's not the Rockets right now.
I want a Dillon brooks TYPE player. I don’t want him. Basically I want a young Patrick Beverly dog-type. Need someone who can light a fire under players. Tate could be that guy but I don’t think guys respect him as a veteran because he’s been in the nba just as long as them. These kids don’t care about the Aussie league.
Yeah, Dillion does not look like a mentor but Ime wants a dog. If you can get Dillion Brooks to start for defense and have KPJ coming off the bench for his offense would be great. We need to balance our starters for our team.
I don't want him but I think he gets more hate on CF than he should. He is a good 3&D player but isn't the best fit for a team that isn't ready to win now.
