Why add a bad shooter here. This team doesn't need dillon . Last season 49 ts % 33 % from 3 Do they think dillon will bring leadership .better ways to spend the coin.
Thank god. I was so waiting for a free agent thread where random people could express random opinions.
he would be a terrible signing and the amount reportedly he's looking for would be for such an unworthy player
Not just that, it's 49% on almost 15 shots. Lack of self awareness on top of the lack of skill. Is there a petition I can sign? A gofundme? Anything just please don't let this happen.
I don't want it either, but it's happening. He will be here. He will take ill-advised shots and take away opportunities from our young guys. It's going to happen and it won't be fun. But some people here will see his ridiculous mean expressions and be like "aww dang man that's the toughness we need! hellsyeah!"
I tried. https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/memphis-cut-ties-with-dillon-brooks.319611/#post-14618630 I don't think it's working though if the rumors are out there that he is one of our targets.
Everyone seems to believe Coach Ime will rein in the rookies, especially when it comes to bad shot selection but Dillon Brooks… consensus seems to be that Coach will have no effect. I’m not buying your opinion just yet. I trust the brass.
Or just start Eason. Eason was even better at the coffin corner 3 than Dillon this season. Other than 4 memorable games, Jabari was taken to the wood chipper on defense, like a 19yr old is expected to, but it's one of the main reasons the starting 5 defensive was sorry. Eason, on the other hand, held his own defensively and was consistent with his effort night in and night out, Bill. (saw this one going around)
I’d rather give boban his money, will be easier to dump. Hate that they’re even considering him, as bad an option as there is pretty much. For the minimum i would MAYBE consider it (though wouldn’t do it), but for what he will get its just depressing
I don't mind Brooks being pursued for a 1-2 year deal for the same reason I'm OK with them offering FVV two years at max value. There's very little long-term harm in that approach. That being said, when you look at what he brings to the table at the 3 (defense, length, attitude), I think Tari and Bari already offer. I think those guys were already playing winning basketball by season's end, and I'm not sure adding Brooks makes you much better. Now if he suddenly starts hitting the 3-pointer or the Rockets could get a legit 3 and D vet on a two-year deal who can hit open jumpers, that I could get behind. I think I'd just rather they prioritize the point guard and center positions, which are greater areas of need right now. If they can get both of those positions filled and still add Brooks in a role where he's not taking away too many wing minutes from more talented, developing guys, I'm good with it.
