LOL at "nothing will be given". Just asking based on the roster construction clutch shared on twitter, who exactly is going to challenge Jabari for his spot? Usman Garuba? Or who's going to be a threat for Jalen's spot? Tate? lol. Anyway, i'm rooting for Brook Lopez trade. So Sengun can prove you wrong yet again.
I agree with your point about every position except for the position of PG. We all saw how a bad decision maker could damage the development of the rest of the team. Even if we make Sengun the main play maker, we still need someone solid to direct traffic, at least as long as Sengun is still learning and gaining his experience. I think having a good veteran starting PG for the short term is the way to go.
Common sense would dictate we should get Tyus Jones or Monte Morris from the Wizards. But Stone doesn't seem to think so.
Umm...a couple of quick questions: 1) When was I proven wrong before? 2) What exactly would he be proving wrong now? I eagerly await your reply.
1) It's already painful enough for you to see that the player you hate is the best player on your favorite team. So you can just check out your previous messages and pick the most convenient date for yourself. 2) Obviously, you. Again.
So basically you got NOTHING, lol. I get it buddy. You're just here chatting and sometimes you have to make schit up to hide your own idiocy. You do your fellow Sengunatics proud. Carry on.
Because all his posts are about how opposing bigs have career nights against the Rockets which was a rare occurrence this season. No need to mention he doesn't have a single post about how opposing guards having career nights against the Rockets day in day out, lol.
I tried to search his posts because I genuinely couldn't remember any of his posts, and the older ones seem to have a lot of complaining about Yao. Maybe he just prefers guards to bigs. Fine.
I didn’t mean that this should apply to every single position. I think certain guys have earned to keep their spot over a vet that may increase the win total. To me those guys are Jalen, bari, and sengun. Any other position I’d be fine with bringing in a vet. But at some point you earn that priority and I think those 3 guys are worth it.
Alp is going to play with -one more year-experienced JGreen/Jabari/Tari/TyTy plus Amen,Cam and -hopefully disciplined- KPJ in 2023-24. He is going to make 15 plus-minus 5 triple-doubles and will be a certain candidate for MIP. Theis,Wood,Fernando are all history. Alp is #1 choice in this team and was predicted to create a championship core together with JGreen/Bari/Tari/23' pick.(Amen happened to be '23 pick fortunately). My concern is not Alp's playing minutes anymore. I am more curious about the development of Tari&TyTy. Alp is an untouchabe now but Tari and TyTy might be vulnerable because of projected trades/vet signs. Enjoy the new season. Hope to see 22/14/8 for Alp, 28 ppg from JGreen and 15 rpg from Bari. If Tari continues to his steals and grabs 10+ offensive rebounds in few games it will be hillarious
I don’t think of it as “running from competition .” For me I just think that, for any young promising player, there is probably a 30+ year old vet that you could start over him and win more games. But in general, I think that’s counterproductive to the team. It doesn’t apply to all young players, you have to earn it, but I think Jalen bari and sengun have earned it. I think Tim hardaway jr startifn at the 2 would win more games, but I still want jalen. I think someone like Jerami grant or Tobias Harris starting over bari would absolutely win us more games. So I think we just have a fundamental disagreement here. But I wanna make it clear it’s not just about sengun for me. I don’t think any of our young guys who have allstar potential should have their PT taken away by 30+ year old vets who would maybe make us win a few extra games. I think it’s counterproductive. I think that’s how you end up like the Chicago bulls.
You lasses do know that anyone who wants to check my post history can easily do so, right? So lying does you absolutely no good other than further embarrassing yourselves. You Sengunatics truly are a special breed. Carry on.
what is some" very important fan"? is he funding rockets, cleaning locker room after games, praying infront of an altar made of players trinkets. we are just bunch of ppl who spaculate and try to find novels of meanings under every word of players, coaches. Also we have some "wanna be clicked on tw" sports journalists.
Yeah we can agree to disagree. I don't think Hardaway Jr wins us more games than Jalen. Jerami Grant over Jabari...maybe (and if we signed him I'd be totally fine with him starting) but Tobias Harris??? Come on now. And again Sengun fanatics are fretting over Brook frickin Lopez. And we're not talking prime Nets Lopez, we're talking about 35 year old Lopez. If Sengun can't beat him out, especially with the advantages of being younger and the incumbent starter, then maybe Sengun just isn't as special as some want to believe. The Rockets had three years of talent acquisition where draftees were given minutes because winning wasn't the priority over draft positioning. But eventually that has to stop in order for the team to progress toward a return to contender status. Sengun is heading into his 3rd season in the NBA after three years of being a pro in Turkey. Time to take the training wheels off. If he can't compete and carve out a role to help the team win it is better to find out now. Because the hushed truth is some of the youngsters on the roster today won't be there when the team is ready to contend.
Has anyone ever put up 22/14/8? Jokic came very close 2 years ago, otherwise has never been close but I believe nobody has ever done that?
No, Sengun fans and other posters are just tired of 'sengun has to earn his minutes' non-sense. If we have lopez, who I would love to have, it is to help the team and to help sengun. If the first thing that comes to your mind 'Sengun should be benched and earn his spot' you don't have the right mindset. Really?? Can you show us examples of how Sengun was given minutes because winning wasn't the priority over draft positioning. He earned every single minute he played despite not being favored by the coach or the pg at all. And yet you come with another round of Sengun has to earn his minutes and talk about Sengun should be able to take the challenge etc. It is the guys who were given the minutes without any work that might have a reality check, not Sengun. Again sengun fans are not worried about it, sengun fans are sick of fans who apply some standard only to sengun. By far the best and probably the only player who showed he is a competitor and who has carved a role in the team, (despite age, language barrier, not being favored by the coach) and you think ' it is time to take training wheels off' and 'better to find out now'!! LOL.
I think Wilt may have done it during his first ship season when it put up like 24/24 and around 8 dimes per game, though I could be wrong on dimes total
