This thread claims Sengun as our franchise player lol. It's ppl like you that give him these impossible standards, then blame everyone else (Silas, KPJ, Tilman) when he under performs. Trust me, you'll be blaming Udoka at some point in the season
Oooh no you don't go there. Just post some vids instead of just trying to diss Sengun & we'll go on from there. Then we will talk about your insecurities.
@Clutch left the Bruno article up as the main article on the Clutchfans main site basically the entire season. He has made it loud and clear he is not on board with Sengun yet. I say yet because it will not be long before every hater is on board with him once they realize he IS the future of this team.
I've never said that Sengun would be the next Jokic. I've always said, before we even drafted him, that his floor is Sabonis and it is looking like he will surpass that. The expectations I have given him have been more accurate than the fans on this board, the coaches that have been let go, and certainly haters like you ever have. Sengun has outperformed every step of the way.
LOL... I was literally thinking this when I read the question. I don't read everything here at CF, but I don't recall seeing any other threads dedicated to proclaiming anyone else in the young core as the franchise player... only this one. And some of his die hard fans wonder why he gets critiqued so harshly, it's because of those very same die hard fans making unrealistic or ridiculously early claims regarding the guy. The Rockets do not have a franchise player right now. No one on the current roster has proven they are able to carry that weight. A few of them have the potential (if realized) but more work is required. Just chill, enjoy the development and praise where praise is due. The truly great ones don't need a hype train...
Saying Sengun’s floor is Sabonis just shows how delusional y’all are. That dude is an All-Star and helped lead his team to the playoffs. We couldn’t win any games when Senhub started. If he’s that good, we wouldn’t have only won 22 games
When Sabonis was 20 years old he averaged 6 points 4 rebounds and was one of the worst players in the league. You are the one who is delusional if you want to compare a 20 year old Sengun to Sabonis in his prime. I gave you a projection that Sengun's floor will be Sabonis and just like the rest of you delusional haters you twist that into an impossible standard.
Sengun’s floor being Sabonis means that coming into the league he’s on that level. 20 year old Sabonis has nothing to do with. Did you know KPJ has similar numbers to harden their first few years? And we all know he’ll never be harden
I'm still on my draft day high, Amen is growing on me by the day, and from the first second we showed interest I've said that hiring Udoka may be more consequential long term than even landing Wemby. There is a lot to be excited for as Rocket fans. But make no mistake, one of the biggest reasons to be bullish on the roster is still Alperen Sengun, who is the closest player on the roster to reaching star level. Take him off the roster, like many of you want, and all you are left with is unfulfilled potential.
His floor is a long term projection, not his current form. If he was producing like prime Sabonis as a 20 year old then his projection would actually be Jokic, or Wilt for that matter. I never claimed that
Been here only since Feb & already have a reputation... I'm showing promise. Now how about backing the **** you spew out of your mouth with some vids? This is the third time I'm calling you out on your BS; come on, be a sport.
Bc you’re wrong. Sengun’s ceiling is a slightly better Sabonis and he may or may not get there. He’s a good player, but he’s got some major holes in his game that his lover boys can’t see
