Oh geez, cmon everyone had dick jokes. Kids are 18-22 of course they’re immature in fact, Dick can stroke it consistently even with a man on his face and 2 hands up.
It's a really weird draft. Consensus is only 2 great prospects, but no one would budge once they found "their guy" all the way to 20. Rockets weren't the only one trying to move.
For the conspiracy theorists....The NBA controls the draft, the Rockets caught them switching the ping pong balls, so they gave them Cam to keep quiet. It all makes sense now
Indeed, that's something that struck me throughout this cycle and it seems front offices were just as prone to it as draft fans. There were a lot of really unique talents with fairly extreme strengths and weaknesses all throughout the first round. Not a lot of "normal" well-rounded but unspectacular prospects like Cason Wallace. I think it led to people and seemingly GMs getting overly attached to certain specific players.
For anyone else wondering - that's a parody account. See previous troll : https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2023/02/...parody-account-dupes-fans-with-mahomes-claim/
"Hey, it's Patrick Fertitta, I'm really hap-- huh? Yeah, he's my dad. As I was sayi-- what? I'm President of the team. So anyway, I-- Yeah, he did, but I earned it!"
People are saying Cam is a great player but do not like to practice…..practice…..practice…..this is a great players and we’re talking about practice……practice?!
I wasn’t as high of him as consensus (which put him around #5 ish) because of his lack of feel. But it’s funny how some people in the draft community acted as if he hasn’t been a top prospect all along. Some analysts were saying that his red flags in the game were there in college and these contributed to his fall. That’s super dumb statement imo. All aspects of games including his weaknesses were well documented. He is a top level prospect DESPITE those development areas. This “he’s not good anyways” copium is frankly stupid and makes one question how good you are as an evaluator. Houston got a bargain.
