I mean it does make sense if they are worried about his knee cartilage long term. But like as many have said its a no brainer at 20 to take that risk compared to pick 4.

I think Cam Whitmore Ignored Teams and Didn't want to workout for them and probably showed up late if he went to a workout. Unprofessional to other Teams. But with the Rockets he talked with Rafael Stone and Rafael enjoyed talking to Cam.

Sengun will likely walk into 25-30 minutes a game for Houston, and there's no reason to think he won't put up big numbers, even if that will likely come mostly in losing efforts with an overmatched Houston team.

Most teams just overthought. Every player has a price. You don't want to pay VanVleet the max, but at around 25m a year he could be a steal. Same as draft, Whitmore may not worth the top 10 picks, but at 20, it's a steal no matter eventually it works out or not.
