I heard mention of poor workouts and interviews. Then out of nowhere rumors of poor medicals. I don't know if we'll ever really know.
Nice find. If it was just tibia fractures, those can heal stronger than before. If it was microfracture surgery and he's jumping like that, then that's the chance you take. McGrady never jumped like that after microfracture.
Reporters with some rumors of medical red flag. Twtitter/forum parrot an idea that the guy has a broken leg with micro fractures. Analytics community hates him for having basically one of the worst assist to turnover basically ever period. Could be a combo of both.
I'm over the moon with this draft!!! I don't even want to sign a vet to start. Just need one or two depth veterans to come in and lead. Trade Tate and KJ Martin.
I don’t know what that even means but I will take it If he has a stress fracture then it should heal. He’s still 18.
What a steal. I’m feeling very optimistic about the team next year. The talent, the great coach…I may have to actually (gladly) pay for tickets. Looking at the West for next year, there are a lot of teams with question marks and I think we can put it together and be back in the playoffs.
Then I guess he'll just have to take it easy on the thumb and give the rest of the league a "different" finger!
no ****en way this caused him to slide immaturity, poor interview, medical, black hole? what else, how many more reasons can we make up?
Cam Whitmore is a clear upside pick Whitmore might be the most physically-ready player in the draft. He's at his best right now in advantage situations, when he can get into the paint and power to the basket. He was able to overwhelm college defenders once his feet touched the paint with the ability to rise up and get square in the air. He's a good isolation scorer and can create separation with a mix of crossovers and change-of-pace moves. His shot is good enough that defenders have to respect it. He's a little slow to load but has a high release and good arc. When he has time, he knocks them down at a solid rate, hitting 46.2 percent of his open catch-and-shoot jumpers, per Synergy. He has the tools to be a starting NBA wing and possibly even a go-to scorer. Age is on his side too. He's an upside pick, as he's still only 18 but with a grown man's body. You see his youth in some of his decision-making. He had a low assist rate (6.4) at Villanova and has tunnel vision when he has the ball. Defensively, he has all the tools as well but is still green. But his combination of size, strength and speed and ability to score in isolation is rare at his age. If he develops the mental side, he should make teams pay for not taking him higher. — CJ Moore, Staff Writer, CBB
If that is the case, it's a tough and expensive lesson to learn. I do like the fact that if he's healthy and engaged, he'll be out to punish those other 18 teams.
the only thing dumb about those jokes is that you know they were played out by the time Dick was eight years old.
more than a dozen teams really said he is 6’6”, 230lbs, 18 years old, 40 inch vertical and his number one skill is getting to the rack and scoring. Nah, he don’t pass enough for my liking. remember that when that first step he has is getting by your man in crunch time. yes you can say hello to the rim when you are 6’6” with a 40 inch vertical.
i would need to hear the exact dick joke to know if criticism is warranted. I've heard some very mature dick jokes.
