One thing that I don't think is going to translate well to the NBA is his finishing. He can't shoot so people are just going to foul the hell out of him and watch him miss his free throws. In Ben Sullivan we trust, I guess.

Yeah but wasn't his fall only bc the nba's strictness with smoking pot? Bet he and oj mayo wish they were drafted today.

It's not that he can't be good, but you could trade back to (11+ and counting) and still get him.

Sure but that's process brain stuff.

Draft positions don't matter after tonight - in fact they probably inhibit proper evaluation going forward

    It's their team

BTW, this is what happens when you let a lawyer make basketball decisions.

Sure but your responding to a point I'm not making

It would be bad to draft a player that would go #60 at #1, even if he's the best player in the draft, from a value perspective and asset maximization stand point.

    Let’s gooooooooo
Turns out we didn’t want a player with underwhelming college tape, bad workouts, and poor medicals in Whitmore. Who knew?

Maybe we’ll get him at 20! That’s where a guy with his level of risk usually tends to go.

It's bad for like 3 days when all the dorks write their "draft grade" articles.

The Rockets would have been savaged - absolutely savaged - for passing on Jabari Smith for Jalen Williams or Walker Kessler - but those evaluations are all worthless now

No you could net like multiple future 1sts trading back from 4 to mid lotto, that's my point, and nothing else

Sure but if they drafted Whitmore 4, that means he's not a mid lotto pick.

    You're getting Heisenberged here buddy
