Would’ve been a great fit here. Could still come next year as a free agent if he’s not traded for again. We need a true point guard who can shoot as much as I like the offense running through Sengun.
Turns out he was worth nothing, considering memphis had to attack 2 firsts with him to get smart. Pretty surprising, smart isn’t anything great
I think some fans should get used to the notion that this team may not view the "point guard" position the same way they do.
Wizards have no business taking Tyus when they're about to start the rebuild. Kpj for Tyus straight up right now.
Boston willing to deal their DPOY point guard and the backup at the position in order to bring in Kristaps alongside Tatum and Brown is telling as well as how the league in general is ebbing in terms of positional importance. Besides Harden who made obvious sense for this team beyond the court the Rockets have been linked to Zion, PG13, Lopez, Brooks and Capela. Late last night a few reports come out of supposed interest in FVV (30Ms+ per year - YUCK) so if you dig just below the surface level I think we can all start to get an idea of whats going to happen next year. I agree with you 3&D needs to be a priority not just for Sengun, but it would benefit everyone on the team especially if we can land a reliable knock down shooter who can clean up on defense. The raw talent on this team alone creates looks for everyone - we just need to capitalize.
I’d still like to keep KPJ, albeit in a different role, but I agree that Tyus doesn’t seem to fit for them and seems like a good candidate to get flipped. I was thinking Tyty+ #20, but the KPJ swap would preserve our cap space. I wouldn’t be upset with either.
True, but Wizards has been looking for a point guard for a while now. Even when Beal was still on the team. So I can see their new GM trying hard to retain him. Depending on the cap space, we might have more advantage to outbid; hopefully he doesn't get too comfortable in DC.
The Wizards have already begun contacting opposing teams about trading Monte Morris, league sources told Yahoo Sports. I thought they might flip Jones, but they are apparently shopping their other 6’2” PG with very good assist-to-TO ratio and a knack for 3s. I wouldn’t mind making a run at him, either. While neither would be ideally what Udoka is looking for, I think they could be a serviceable bridge to Amen and maybe an eventual backup.
