It should be able to - but I suspect that the Hornets or Blazers would want something else that the Rockets don't have. Both of those teams want a star player.
10 and 4 could move up to 2 or 3 based on the teams drafting there. Neither necessarily needs Scoot, so it could work. It generally just takes a future 1st to move up a few spots. Luka trade brought the next year’s #10, Tatum trade brought the next year’s #14. So, I think the value is equivalent. I assumed Dallas would be using #10 to add current NBA players to fortify their roster for another run. Not sure why they would do this unless they are getting a core player back.
I don't see the Rockets moving any of those players for anything less than a star. I think that Eason will struggle some next year playing for Udoka, but he isn't going anywhere unless it is for a really good player. Eason struggles reading defenses and offenses, he kind of free lances out there and I am not sure how Udoka will handle that. He may allow it because Eason can be very good defensively, or he may get upset that it disrupts other players on the team.
I think Lively would be a reach at 10. Been burned by these 7ft 3&D prototypes before. Now Bilal on the other hand would be awesome. Imagine walking away with Amen + Bilal whewwww.
I'm one of the few who believe KPJ and Tate are underrated, but if I had to choose it would be Tate. Now that the Rockets are trying to win games, I want to see what KPJ can do with this coaching staff unless he's including in a package for an All-Star like Zach LaVine.
The last two times the Rockets moved up in the draft, they hit a home run in Sengun and at least a double in Eason, so I trust they know what they're doing in the late lottery.
Tate is underrated on a good playoff team - but not so much on a team like the Rockets. If the Rockets end up with Amen Thompson or Scoot Henderson - it is going to possibly cause friction with KPJ, who also plays the same position. Udoka has no fear playing young players that are good - Henderson would beat out KPJ.... I don't think that Amen Thompson would, unless he really surprises with his shooting.....
Jalen Green, Alperan Sengun, Jabari Smith and the 20th pick for the 10th pick. who says no? @SamFisher fair trade?
I agree. Scoot definitely would but I just don't see the Rockets being able to draft him. But if they can somehow make it happen then I don't doubt it'd cause friction between him and KPJ. KPJ could start having flashbacks and tear the locker room up lol.
