Agreed, no one our roster can really generate off the dribble 3s at an efficient rate.

Dud's only played 70 games once his entire career. I'd rather wait for Jabari to fix his shooting issue.

Isn't JJJ a better shooter and defender than Jabari?

I would really like to root for a team without a scumbag on it. I don’t want a pat bev, or a draymond, or a brooks, or a marcus smart. I want to be proud when we win

To be clear, if Dillon Brooks kept his mouth shut and 90% of his shots were wide open threes I would definitely like having him on the team. He's not a bad shooter when he's open, and he's a good defensive player. But he's not that guy, is he?

I don't want a 39% shooter who takes 14 shots a game, most of them contested, and constantly makes our team look bad off the court.

He clearly doesn't have any self control or self awareness on or off the court. Intangibles matter. Some of y'all think Ime can magically make a player into somebody he's not. Good coaches can bring out the best in willing players and help push them to the next level, but they can't turn a sh*t into gold. People are who they are.

Dillon Brooks doesn't need a good coach, he needs a good therapist.

If Dillon Brooks comes cheap and plays off the bench . I think I would consider if udoka thinks he can turn him into a Marcus smart type , smart was a good defender and then won dmvp cause of udoka , one comment on lebron and had a bad series and people been killing brooks lol.. like he isn't that , Memphis made him the scapegoat but that team has alot of problems in general and lack of humble .. no way I am saying sign him. To 40 mil total plus but for Memphis to say publicly that they won't bring him back shows the problem in them and the players

I don't want Dillon Brooks on this team, however, I will comment that you guys need to start looking at his salary as a percentage of the cap. Despite the shenanigans from Dillon, he is still a very good defender, and although terribly inefficient, he can provide you something on the offensive end. He is worth a lot more than the non taxpayer MLE.

All defensive 2nd team, 27 years old, I suppose he’s an upgrade over KMJ. Combined with Amen, could at least make the perimeter defense passable next season.

Dillon brooks isn’t that good. The desperation state of the rockets is the only reason he’s an option when nobody else wants him. And massively overpaying him for a mediocre player would be fitting for what the rockets do now these days. They’ve become that franchise

Lol nobody cares about his resume, they can only see brooks had one bad series, and he wasn't that bad on defense except some plays on lebron but they acting like i lebron isnt all time great and defense can fully shut him down and he cant score , 2nd all NBA defense isn't a fluke by him

Defensively yes but not overall. His defense is solid even though it doesn't show up statistically. But his offense is atrocious, look at his TS%. He's also trended down as a player the last couple of years.

Memphis obviously wants nothing to do with him.
