And I wouldn't be surprised if that started soon. Crane is not likely amused. When things get this bad, it is beyond a slump, it is a gross misuse of resources which means management made the wrong calls. Judgement day is near.
Nobody is ****ing getting fired and if someone does it definitely won't be Dusty. This team is a steaming hot mess rn and Yordan ain't walking through the door.
Jeff Luhnow Draft Picks Ran Out on the Astros it seems like. Dana Brown really needs to Rebuild the Team Again. Do Not Trade Prospects for Anybody. Get a Good Draft Pick and Add On Players.
I hope not but the players are not responding. It looks bad. I’m hoping that it looks worse than it is and the Astros will soon shake this malaise and catch fire.
We all knew that Dusty was playing games with the Diaz situation. 75 plate appearances over two months and with a 3rd string catcher to free him up to DH and play 1b. Moreover, Dusty wouldn’t pinch hit for maldy in late game crucial situations even though we had 3 catchers. He kept doing this even as the offense sputtered. Obvious that Dusty was putting his ego before the teams success. He won the WS last year and also the power war with Click. So he was cocky coming into the season and was like **** you new GM, I do whatever the **** I want. Problem is that he’s about to fall to 4th place.
Locked on Astros guy is questioning why Maldy is calling for 4 fastballs against Lindor who has only hit well on fastballs and struggling on everything else. Lindor is also only hitting .212 overall. Just awful game-planning and pitch-calling from Maldy when that's supposed to be his only strength.
The other one pretty much just reads ESPN game recaps. I only watch/listen occasionally since I never learn anything new.
Maton, Montero and Pressly have done the same recently. 3-4 identical pitches in a row, the last one being blasted. Whether that's on the pitcher or catcher we'll never know I'm fine, you jackass
