You can go ahead and lock in Zion staying with the Pelicans

Walton won 2 rings, yao we drafted, Tmac wasn't injury prone, and he put himself out of the league with voluntary surgery.....

You have to take risks, ZIon playing gives us a much better team than anyone else on our roster.

Taking risks is one thing and calling Zion a top 50 player all-time is on a different stratosphere. This is blasphemy.

Would he make the team better? Yes, but that's not saying much.

I'm not really worried about the Zion to Houston debate right now cause I think one of Charlotte or Portland will bite on Zion. Both teams are wanting to win now essentially, and keep their star guard's happy. If Lillard is saying he wants to stay "but wants the team to get better" I think they have to make the Zion trade for #3, and New Orleans would probably be dumb to not take the opportunity to get the best value they'll ever get for him.

If for some reason neither team bites, NOLA probably keep Zion over taking Amen or Whitmore. For Scoot or Miller, it's a no-brainer. For Amen or Whitmore.... eh. I don't see it happening and Houston doesn't need to make that kind of trade right now. We don't already have another young star we need to pair with another star. The Rockets just need to stay the course in letting these guys develop with some better veterans and coaching. Make these kind of trades after you find a star. Not now.

Only way Zion goes to the Rockets is if Portland has no interest. The Pelicans want the #3 pick so they can get Scoot, not #4.

He's a top 50 ever TALENT, but not player. If every player of all time is in a fantasy draft, and there's no injury history and drafting based on talent and potential, he's certainly going top 50. Bill Walton was a top 20 all time talent. T-Mac. Penny and GHill. Still, the risk is Zion's career could be like all those, but he is also still young enough to make a radical change starting with dropping his weight like Chuck. The blueprint is there. I really don't think he wants to be in NO, though. He was probably hoping the Knicks won the lottery. I predict he wants to force his way to NYC with RJ.

As always we should be a facilitator with our cap room. Get assets or playable vets in return.

Jalen Green is Reliable, Durable, Extremely Hard Working, Cares about his body, Stays in Shape EVERYDAY, Cares About his Teammates, Great Lovable Personality on the Team.

Zion Williamson is selfish, injury prone, ignores teammates, ignores phone calls, bad legs Knock knees, woddles when waling, bad hips, bad feet, bad diet Pizza and Mountain Dew EVERYDAY since Draft Day. Womanizing Activities away from the Team. At 6'5 should be around 220 lbs.

Zion is at 6'5 280 lbs. Jordan was 6'6 220 lbs

And Zion missing most of yet another season gives us about what we have now.

I'm not sold on the chance of him ever deciding to get professional about staying healthy.

This could either go in a Shawn Kemp at the end of his career way for Zion, or it could work out like it has for Joel Embiid. Joel missed a lot of time during his first four years, too. Somebody will take the gamble, though I get why New Orleans has had enough.

Don't want Zion. The guy obviously don't care about his career. Don't keep his body in shape and also too much off-court issue. This is worse than getting Kyrie.

I would go for zion if the price was low . But it will not be .

I recently heard there were protections (for the team) in his big contract … so many it’s not so bad .

but taking a huge bet on his health and mindset .

He’s still young enough that I would be confident saying if he lost some weight and trained up his athleticism would return .

He’s got about the same chance at being a top 20 nba player in a couple of years that green has. The difference is the floor for green is higher right now . Green , for all the slack I don’t cut him .. HAS stayed healthy and that is major .

I might be in the minority

I personally would take a gamble on Zion.

Dude like mini Shaq Shawn Kemp type mold handles. playmaking. supreme athleticism. a jumper that's decent. He is a top 15 player in the game right now when healthy.

I get the injuries but the talent is worth the gamble.
Zion is still a young player barely 4 years in the league.

Non of the guys we have currently will be what Zion is.

I don't get attached to the players Ima Rockets fan first & Zion booming down dunks in Toyota Center would be live.

I don't see any reason to think his attitudes/behavior regarding his physical condition/health are going to change, at least until about 2027 when he has to start thinking about another contract.

I do see plenty of reasons why he might continue to get fatter, lazier, unhealthier and less interested in basketball.

The one thing you just can't fix is what's going on inside a guy's head.
