I was kind of joking/Kind of serious. We know he is a cancer - and Dallas does as well now. But Think of all those 25 year old analytics gurus populating NBA front offices looking to make their name by buying low on Christian Wood. He is not a long term solution, but he could be a good value trade.
Could the Rockets become a younger version of the Nuggets quicker than we think by signing Wood??? Sengun - younger Jokic Smith - younger Gordon Wood - MPJ Green - younger Murray KPJ - KCP There's more than one way to build a team but copying a team who just won the NBA finals can be a good start. I don't think anyone is YEARNING for Wood on this board. Lol I don't think Wood is a loser. He just has not been in a winning situation. New Orleans, Detriot, young Milwaukee, Rockets team with a disgruntled Harden, Dallas with Jason Kidd as the head coach. I thinknif he were here, Ime would be his best chance to have to be under a winning situation. I would like him better at $15M, than Cam Johnson at $25M
You’re a WOF. I couldn’t careless what you think. Dudes a proven loser. Nothing is going to change. The lazy cliche is Ime is going to fix anything and everything. That’s not how it works. Your nuggets reference is just laughable too
Alright, alright. Obviously it is “Too soon” to even half joke about bringing back Christian Wood. I apologize. I didn’t expect anything out of the “WOW” lineup, so having a little fun about bringing back Wood on a “Value” deal doesn’t bother me.
Dude, every player is not going to be a 2-way player. Most players does somethings better. Wood is best at 3pt shooting, than defense. If you look at the Nuggets, they have two 2-way players; KCP and Gordon. Jokic, MPJ and Murray are all offensive players, who are not known for their defense. The key is getting the offensive players to put forth the effort on the defensive end. And I think Ime can
I couldn’t give 2 shitts if he isn’t a two way. No where did anyone say that needs to be true. Wood is absolute trash. Folks who like losers can’t understand that concept. If I look at the nuggets they’re not the 20 wins rockets. That’s all that matters. Your lame attempt at a correlation is comedy
Wood seems to have worn out his welcome to every team he went after just one season. Ironically, he wasn't unproductive by the numbers.
...and thats because numbers only tell part of the story... a point the analytic driven dont want to see... imo
People always look for blame whenever their team does poorly - it is lazy and easy to do, but most do it. Wood is not a star player, he isn't a top option, but he is a VERY good scorer, very very efficient - so, can the Rocket's use that to make the team better and not have it become a net negative. I think yes, at the right price, and a good coach that will set the hierarchy - CWood isn't great, but he isn't the devil either, he is just a good offensive player who gives poor effort on D - the question is, does that help your team win.......each situation is different..... DD
If every team wants to dump him after just a short time, it is probably not just about blame and lazy.
