If anything, it only brought the people they wanted to silence more attention... but hey, we are talking about the maga crowd.
I think the point is that he said the stadium was “virtually empty” when the stadium was actually virtually full. This is something Donald Trump would do. Same old playbook.
Yeah I get it. Politicians from both sides like to score points with that kind of stuff. No big deal to me.
The only team in MLB that does not have a Pride Night is the Texas Rangers, who happen to be located in the Evangelical Nutjob Capital of America. Every pro sports team in the Houston Area playing this month (Dynamo, Dash, Space Cowboys, Astros) has a Pride Night. Keep on tilting at windmills, righties. "Fight The Future" made sense in the Terminator universe, not so much in this one.
Here's what he used the line-item-veto on (I'm not against that in principle, if it sends those veto lines back to the Leg to be worked on and then voted up to the Gov again) https://www.clickorlando.com/news/p...udget-from-school-programs-to-flood-projects/
I see nothing being vetoed in my city. BTW, the tweet @NewRoxFan posted takes things out of context. Pretty sure he was just complaining about something like that from the other side. When I posted out that both sides do it, he complained about me going "both sides". lol
DeSantis passed 6 week abortion ban, made it impossible for migrants to work, and is kicking millions off healthcare just to start and these right wingers worship him like he's FDR @AroundTheWorld . It's genuinely so pathetic the current state of Republicans. There's no real leader in the party.
Not only that, but nearly half (45%) of working Floridians are living in or near poverty, or in households that are one missed paycheck or lost job away from affording basic needs. Nearly two in 10 (17%) of Florida children live below the federal poverty line, which means earning less than $26,500 per year for a family of four. Sounds pretty bad to me.
