A manager who has won the WS, and gotten them to another, is not responsible for the lack of discipline to stay in shape in the offseason for his team. Dusty isn’t making errors in the outfield or taking lazy routes to catch the ball. Dusty also didn’t sign Abreu and Mintero to those contracts.

When a team looks like they’ve checked out mentally, does none of that fall on the manager? I think it falls squarely on the manager. I don’t care what Dusty has done in the past. He’s doing as bad a job this season as anyone. I read a number the other day about pinch hitting. Dusty has pinch hit less than 50% of the league average (about 40 pinch hits). He had Maldy hitting in the 8th and 10th the other night. He pinch hit for Meyers right in front of Maldy, so when it didn’t work, Maldy was stuck in the lineup. That’s inexcusable. Thanks for the ring, Dusty, now don’t let the door hit you on the way out. And Montero is Dusty’s guy. I doubt he gets signed to that contract without Dusty wanting it. I’m not sure how you can watch this team and not be infuriated at the way it’s been managed.
Dusty is directing the line up to swing aggressively, especially at first pitches. Blum said Dusty wants the guys to force the action rather than wait for it. This been has the motto the last few series. This applies to base-stealing too. Not working Dusty…need a new approach here.
Altuve just had 2 days off in a row not too long ago… of course the hottest hitter today gets benched tomorrow..
Glad I missed this one. Altuve goes 4 for 4 and idiot Dusty rests him tomorrow. Montero is $11.5 million worth of garbage in 23. Team is not winning it all this year. Please let Dusty and Maldy go. The sooner the better.
No, sorry. They have been hobbled by injuries and the bullpen is coming back down to Earth. The Jim Crane/ Jeff Bagwell GM tenure should take the majority of the bullets here.
Dr. Dusty knows best Dusty's the one who keeps running out scrubs while good players ride pine. Clicks not here to curb that ****
They certainly take some blame, but the majority has to go to the guy #$@%ing the bed every night with his lineups. Julks at leadoff today is all Dusty. I don’t know how that can be justified, especially after not scoring for multiple games in a row. The offense has been struggling most of the season and Dusty hasn’t done a damn thing to address it, other than sitting hot bats. It’s like he’s trying to outmaneuver the analytics or something. Injuries and bullpen blowups aside, Dusty’s managing has been atrocious thus far. He’s not putting the team in position to succeed and that’s putting a ton of pressure on the pitching to be perfect. It’s a cascading problem that seems to be affecting the fielding now. There is something wrong with this team and it’s Dusty. Not having a GM was bad too. I’ll definitely give you that.
Then who’s fault is it if it isn’t his fault that we are not fundamentally sound if it isn’t his fault we have effort issues If it isn’t his fault we rarely play optimal lineups Why do we pay a manager?
Chas was 5 for 11 with a Hr coming into today and was benched dusty is a damn idiot and will keep us out of the playoffs this year
Let's not forget Pena setting the tone for that dogshit game with back to back errors. They weren't tough plays..he had plenty of time on both.
