Sengun/Lopez Jabari/Grant Williams Tari/Dillon Brooks (yuck)/Tate Green/KPJ Derrick White/Amen this team can win 35 games and this roster is attainable.
Lopez, GW and even Dillon are coming from 50+ win teams and landing collectively on a 30 win team. I am not sure how they would feel.
we have the inside track on Grant Williams with Ime, and Vegas seems to think we are the favorites for Lopez and Brooks. So it’s at least plausible. Hopefully Ime is a draw, but I take your point.
I would think that is a much improved defensive team for sure. I like it and yea it is feasible for sure.
Would love him if we move back but he needs a veteran in front of him. I'll take him and Derrick White all day...
but but but , this guy has just as big of a chance of being right as any of us … and plus …. He did it on TWITTER .
Equally you should not assume a tweet that a random guy quoted from Clutchfans is from a random nobody. Doc is followed by a scout working in the Rockets’ scouting department.
The rockets have to present like they are having a debate on Amen vs Whitmore and really like both to create leverage with teams trying to trade up for either player, as well as leverage with Charlotte or Portland for a potential trade up for Scoot. I’m assuming no one knows sh#t about what the rockets are gonna do. If so, Stone hasn’t learned his lesson from last draft. So far it’s great no real hard intel is out there on the rockets draft preference, other than trading out of #20, which is pretty obvious. Keep that sh#t close to the vest.
Yeah well Sengun is on his way to Yao Ming size before the season begins and Jalen Green is now the size of Hulk Hogan best offseason ever!
My hopes Jazz FRP#4, FRP#20 & Martin For FRP#9 & Kessler Draft => Wallace, Black or Hood-Schifino Sengun / Kessler Smith / Garuba Tate / Eason / Porter Green / Porter / Christopher free agent 2yr deal / FRP#9 / Washington Coach has a more than solid team to work with.
Always possible they're making a play to pick Cam, trade back, and still end up with a twin. Or could all be a smokescreen in an attempt to make a trade like that happen. Just going to have to wait and see.
Look, there are a lot of things the Rockets may end up doing, but I highly highly doubt drafting Cam Whitmore at #4 is one of them. It’s all about GM incentives We know directly that Stone is: - Oriented towards making “value” trades and picks - Unsatisfied with the team’s development last year - Likely entering a make or break season for his tenure as GM Drafting Whitmore at #4 addresses none of those. - It would be perceived as a poor “value” pick, since he could probably be drafted a couple spots lower - He doesn’t help you win games for a couple years - He’s not a player type that makes those around him better, shows something that we haven’t seen already from the core (low BBIQ points accumulation), or could conceivably be a crown jewel of the rebuild Alternatively, trading the pick could help us win now, which saves Stone. Drafting Amen adds a maximum upside path that if he shows promise, saves Stone. Trading up for Scoot is going all-in for a new centerpiece that would save Stone. Those are the three possibilities. No other possibility does anything positive for Stone’s job security, so they probably won’t happen. It’s just smokescreens.
