Maybe it is better for the Team if Dusty Baker is Let Go, not resigned. Jose Abreu, Martin Maldonado, Michael Brantley are really close to Retiring Age
The Astros I think are Suffering this Year because of No Picks in the 2 - 1st Rds 2 - 2nd Rd Picks. 4 Astros Top Players are missing on this Team At least 2 Pitchers. Astros trading Kyle Tucker and Framber Valdez for Top Prospects is not a bad idea if the Astros are not interested in resigning these Players and Need Younger Star Players.
Their is no consistent approach or gameplan across the entire lineup. Each batter just does what they want.
My brother in Christ, the Lord has said we are doomed. He told me late last night. I'm sorry to break this troubling news.
The team is just older. Look at the 3 stars that are gone. Springer, Correa, and Yuli all have OPS near 700. Bregman is the guy that baffles me. With all his plate discipline and hard work, he as streaky as they come. He is no Brantley.
Would you put $10,000 dollars down right now on the Astros not winning the division? I got a guy who’d take that bet from you.
This team is not the team that we will be watching in September. Yordan, Brantley, and Urquidy should be back. At least 1 other bat and 1 pitcher will be added. 162 games is a grind and it's very very tough to repeat but this team needs to just find a way to gut through a few wins. There will always be highs and lows among players. Right now Altuve, Bregman, and Pena are scuffling while Abreu,Tucker, and Chas are hot. That's why a deep lineup is needed. The more quality hitters you have the more should be hot at any given time. I still think this team should end up as an offensive juggernaut heading into the playoffs. There is simply too much proven experienced talent. They just need to gut out enough wins to stay in position for a run and get healthy. A big move or teo from Brown would be appreciated also.
bro. W.T.F. this team as it stands, is not fun to watch right now. feels like they avg 2 runs per game or they blow the lead left and right. Is dusty the doc rivers of mlb? i'd say so. only 1 chip and 1 chip off of a team that knows what it takes to win.
Brown needs to pull a money ball move and send down Julks. On the bright side, every time I complain about Julks he does well that day.
