That blurb is idiotic. We don’t even know the extent of the crimes, but the DOJ had gone too far! We should just allow treason.

Also, what’s wrong with a political party adjusting their platform to attract more voters? Just because people that never would vote D are annoyed about it, it doesn’t make it wrong.

Perhaps the rest of the article is better, but based on what you posted I have no desire to read that crap.

The majority around here better recognize the situation, or there are gonna be a lot of people out here they’re gonna be extremely let down over the results

I personally can’t wait to witness the meltdown

It doesn't get better, and why should it? It's an opinion piece from a Fox news contributor.

Can't we just get two normal dudes that are like 50?

I'm serious. I'm sick of this **** show. Let them both decline peacefully on an island (Rikers or St Thomas, I don't care at this point). Send Hillary with them. Let's forget the last 8 years. My God it's been awful.

I'd rather vote for Dave Turner, the middle school teacher down the street, in all sincerity.

Jake Walters was the best middle school teacher I had. 7/8th grade science.

    He would kick Dave's ass.

I get why many wish Biden was younger but I’m wondering why the Biden presidency has been so harmful to you personally? I mean that sincerely as well.

In 2020 the Democratic field had probably too many options to be honest and that’s why Biden was able to use his goodwill with an important segment of the voting base (not you or me) to clean house on Super Tuesday.

But despite Biden not being my preferred representation given how I’m from a different generation etc. his administration has many competent people many of which are representative of my profile and I do think they’ve collectively done a fair to good job. Ron Klain being a solid leader of the admin the first 2 years.

So yeah I get it… he’s old as dirt and I’d rather have a 50 year old representing us as a country as well, but I’m not the only part of the democratic electorate and their votes mattered on Super Tuesday.

Now should the party do the unwise and unthinkable and push an incumbent aside after his first term just because he’s too old when he was old as dirt to begin with in 2020? Imo there’s nothing that’s happened that’s just so bad that it would change a Super Tuesday 2024 outcome but feel free to make a case why there should be an open field and all Democratic candidates who are actually electable and not cranks like RFK, should get in the race to challenge Biden.

I was supporting Klobuchar in 2020 but she lost early and put her support behind Biden. I wasn’t happy about that but at that point I could either vote third party or sit out the election. Given the stakes I didn’t think those were good options.

Unfortunately we don’t always get our first second, third or even fourth choices for President and the nature of the presidency is that in most cases the one who survives to the general is a compromise candidate.

    It hasn't.

I'm just sick of retreads and now we have two presidential candidates (potentially) that are both going to be beyond the average life expectancy? And they both have (although many often will) political baggage? It's just a depressing time when you're relatively young, and this is the reality of the political environment of this country.

We need a multi party system desperately. We need people to be united and to come together and we need to progress onward. I don't know how that is done in our current environment.

And I also hope these dudes pick a helluva vice president candidate.

You will never get a multi-party system in your lifetime, I'm sorry. The way the constitution is written with winner-take-all electoral contests pretty much dictates a 2-party system. That's why we've had 2 major parties for almost all of our history with only some brief periods with an insurgent third party. It's not stable to have 3 for long.

The nature of the presidency as state by state race and the importance of majorities in Both house of Congress make it difficult for a third party to gain national traction.

What can be done though is building up at the local and state level. We have had several independent governors and even Senators. At one point the GOP was the fourth place party in Minneapolis behind the DFL, Greens and independents.
