I'll settle for Diaz starting at catcher twice a week. One day at DH and one day at 1B to give Abreu a rest. That's 4 games of his bat. Chas should play almost everyday except when Meyers needs a rest or Yordan wants to run around
For this to happen Dusty would have to play our best lineup on a regular basis, and he has no interest in doing so There was zero reason to think Julks was a better option at DH yesterday than Dubon or Diaz (Dubon OPS vs LHP over 1) We simply aren’t talented enough with all our injured guys to not send out our best and still win consistently I just hope he doesn’t cost us a playoff spot
I think fans are just frustrated. Ready to turn the corner. Astros are having problems doing it. Dusty getting too cute with lineups and playing time is baffling at times. I, for one, am ready to see a more consistent lineup.
The problem is Dusty being Dusty. He has always done this. But this season there needs to be more urgency and he has not adapted.
His teams not playing with urgency got him canned at all his prior jobs, he got very lucky last year to coach a juggernaut team oozing with postseason experience. Very hard to mess up bullpen management when only one guy even gave up runs.

Combined era of Bielak/France/Blanco still hovering around a very respectable 3.50. In excess of 100 IP sample size now.
