You know who singles Sengun out? Other teams when we play them. If he was our best defender, why would teams constantly go at him every possession. Atleast Jalen Green showed flashes of being a defender, like shutting down Devin Booker to beat Phoenix. Who has Sengun shut down?

Lol, how about the best player in the league? Sengun outplayed Jokic and held him to 14 points in our win against Denver. And this dude just went on and won a championship......

It's not a surprise teams single out Sengun. It happens to every center in the league. That's just how the game is played today.

I think Jokic also grew a little bit after he was drafted. When he was drafted, he was about the same height as Capela, now he looks taller/bigger.

    Depends how you play.

On Offense a 7'5 Wemby is going to play like a 6'0 dude.

Show me clips of ANY possession that game where Sengun's defense shut Jokic down. Cherry picking advanced metrics is one thing, show me proof of how great Sengun's individual defense is. Jake Valanciunis looked like Wilt Chamberlain playing against Sengun

You guys sh*t on everybody but Sengun every day. KPJ locker room cancer (false), Jalen Green ("trade him he's a chucker"), Jabari ("Bust'), but when Sengun comes up it's "he's just a kid, let him grow". Why doesn't this apply to the other kids on the team?

I have you on ignore for a reason.
But, you’re a hypocrite. You **** on Alp at every turn.
I don’t see anyone hating on Green and Jabari.
There are tons of people who don’t think KPJ is a point guard.

Jabari was bust majority of the last season was he not? Tell me where the lie is. He couldn't make the simplest layups, couldn't make the 3s, couldn't pass he was doing cardio on the court. He was missing WIDE OPEN 3S. His fg% was lower than Kwame's when i checked it before 50 sth game. He was bad. Silas didn't help him yes but he when got the chances he f'd up.

I was never on trade Jalen bandwagon but can you blame ppl for doubting him? Kid was dropping 40s and going missing the next game. He is inconsistent, inefficient, bad on D and i believe that his bbiq is mid. However he's very athletic and he's young. Last season he improved his handle and playmaking a little so i'm optimistic. I think he will improve but right now i'm not a fan nor a hater of Jalen.

Jabari is young i'm patient but i'm not gonna deny that this kid sucks at basketball. His game isn't fun to watch. He's stiff, doesn't have much vertical, doesn't have the fastest feet, his wingspan is just an inch longer than Sengun's ws, he has active hands but i don't see a future DPOY candidate in him let alone DPOY. I like his middy a lot and that's it for now. I think his peak is Michael Porter Jr. He can get there in the future but i'm not fan of MPJ. The way i see it is that he has work ethic and he'll definitely improve but it's like in Football Manager. His current ability (CA) is 100 but his potential ability (PA) isn't higher than 130 imo. It is 120-170 for Jalen and 130-160 for Sengun if that makes sense.

We hate on everyone equally. You specially hate on Sengun. Even if his defense is sub par how can you argue with the fact that the offense just looks better when he's on the court. If he can make our offense better who cares if he makes our defense a tad bit worse.

We have no idea what we have in Sengun cuz Silas never utilized him properly. Can he be the engine of one of the most efficient offenses ever like Jokic? If so who cares about his defense.

The big problem with a lot of the discussion on the board is that people just stan their guy and crap on everybody else like you're only allowed to support an individual on a TEAM. It's crazy. Jalen's inconsistencies seem to stem from his confidence I think, when he's having fun and feeling it the shots drop, he puts up big numbers and looks like a future star, when he's not and he's struggling he shrinks. Sengun's "issues" (which are often massively overblown, and often in reaction to the rampant Sengtardism that was going around for a while) mostly come from where he grew up: He hasn't had the same level of physical training/conditioning, most European kids haven't, it's rare for there to be near to that much money in youth sports. He's also learned a different brand of the sport from a young age, like most long-term overseas players he's having to adjust his game and find a slightly different bag of tricks. Both of those things just need time. I'm expecting breakout years from both next season, and I doubt I'll be disappointed. Jabari I found more concerning for most of season, but right towards the end we saw a glimpse of who he could be. I think his floor is as a solid 3-d roleplayer, if he really does develop that driving game and those midrange gimmes though? You can't discount that he could also breakout as a bigtime player. People should stop b****ing so much, our future looks promising as **** when you really look at who we've got from this tank.

I finally understand why all the great Euro players are so fat.

Generally, child athletes in European countries still have more typical teenage bodies compared to the much more developed US kids the same age. When I was a teenager I played Lacrosse for an "all star" team made up of the best youth players in the UK against a club from Maryland, not only was their team chosen from literally thousands of athletes compared to a couple of hundred on our side, they were shredded in comparison, and I also played Rugby, Cricket, Basketball and was a sprinter and triple jumper. No matter how much we could've trained with the facilities we had there's no way we could've ever come close to how much more developed these kids were as athletes. It's why you'll also find a lot more development on the skill aspects of the sport, it's more typical to focus on those because you don't need super kitted out gyms and facilities, just yourself, the ball and the hoop.

They play 3 games a week at most in the Europe and it is very rare. Many play just once a week. Alpy says in the interviews that he struggled with the schedule at first, but he is catching up. He is turning 21 in a month or two. His physique will be much different when he is 23-24.
