Growing an inch adds about 8 pounds in weight. If he's 7fter then he probably gain 16 sth pounds. He was ~240 pounds last season and going from 240 to 264 doesn't make sense for a professional athlete. It's 11 kg and it's too much to gain in just 2-3 months. This is like jumping 3 weight classes. Even boxers add that amount of weight very diligently not to get injured doing that. Also he didn't look chubby to me in his interviews. It was obvious that he gained 20-25 pounds by growing.
I wish it was the other way around. Alpi gained the muscle and Jalen grew 2 inches. That would have way more of an on court impact.
Your calculations are off. You said he gained 16lbs which is less than 8kg’s. Also it’s unlikely it all happened in 2-3 months even if that’s when Eason noticed it. Also the boxers you’re talking about are not 20-21 years old. It’s certainly an issue for older athletes but not for Sengun’s age. It’s natural for people to gain height and weight quickly before 21. The presence of a higher amount of growth hormone in the body (which is what causes the height explosion) will simultaneously make the bones, ligaments and tendons grow harmoniously with the added weight. Nothing to worry about. Getting taller is all good in this scenario. I don’t know if it’s true, but it would be good.
I am spaniard, and remember Pau Gasol at 19 being a back up player in the Spanish National team that won the junior World Championship. He was 2,08 meters tall (6’10). 3 years later, he was 2,15 meters (almost 7’1).
Lol, you had time to completely fabricate bullshit about weight gain that doesn't account for by far the most important factors and is complete speculation. I can't imagine you're time is that valuable, as nobody is paying for that analysis any time soon.
No it's not off. If he grew 2 inches that's 16 pounds 24 - 16= 8 pounds. 8 ibs from **** you eat which is normal. You literally have to connect the dots for ppl because they can't. I'm not saying people can't gain 24 pounds they can i'm saying professional athletes, especially basketballers usually don't let themselves go like this. They should be able to jump high and they know too much of weight gain would put immense amount of pressure on their ligaments or just tear their tendons. Sengun as far as i can tell is very disciplined kid and naturally that amount of weight gain wasn't result of eating bunch of f.cking snacks.
Speculation AND fabrication , your time isn't valuable and your analysis is OFF , missed most important factors you loser I think you feel like you know you are a m*ng but trying to feel smart for a minute or two by being condesencing to others but since you can't come up with any real argument you look like a clown now.
Draft day 2021, posted that his hot "translator" said he could grow another 2 inches. Here we are 2 years and 2 inches later. But do the arms grow too? He had a 7. 05 wingspan, should have a 7'1 now
He could dominate at 6'10, it is a normal height for a big. It wouldn't be the main thing keeping Sengun from being great. Jalen, as a 6'4 wing, is just too small to do a lot of basic things you want from him. He can't really defend forwards on cross matchups and he has to gather and leap over people to finish at the rim.
