I know this action scene lives rent free in the heads of Yankee fans.

We have been on a Schwarzenegger binge lately so the scene where "he" is dangling from a helicopter and saves "Jamie Lee Curtis" from the limo is pretty awesome.

So many from Banshee. Starr vs The Albino. Burton vs Nola. Carrie vs Olek. The assault on the precinct. The assault on the church. The assault on the army base. The assault on the foundry.

Not going to look for videos on any of them as it was just a ridiculously violent show.

Dream thread! So many good scenes to choose from. Here are some that stand out for me since the 2000s.

    Final Fight Man from nowhere

    Anything The Raid 1

    Anything The Raid 2

    Anything John Wick 1-4

Gangs of London Pub Fight (First episode of the series)

Action just has gotten better and better. I still love old 80's action, along with old school martial arts movies, but goodness gracious, the action of back in the day pales compared to the best of what's being made today.

I just rewatched this movie a few days ago. I had totally forgotten how amazing in every way this scene is. It's really hard to tell how much of it is Collin Firth and how much is affects or stunt doubles, but the editing is flawless and if it isn't him it is really difficult to tell. The action is just non-stop and seamless.

I'm not going to find any videos online, but I would say several scenes from Extraction also quality (haven't seen that one mentioned yet) as well as the big battle scene in Children of Men that culminates in the baby being brought out of the battle to growing silence as people realize what they are seeing. I don't think the whole scene is done as one cut but a huge portion of it is and it is just magnificent. Makes me hold my breath.

Couldn't agree more. Gareth Evans (Raid 1/2 & Season 1 of Gangs) is hands down the best martial arts director around and should be making action movies yearly.
