We've had so many guys in and out, if you're Dusty, what do you do?

    I'm thinking this...

    2B Altuve
    SS Pena
    RF Tucker
    LF Alvarez
    3B Bregman
    1B Abreu
    DH Diaz
    CF Meyers/McCormick
    C Maldonado

I want to see Diaz everyday at DH to see how he looks over 6 to 8 weeks. I want Tucker in the 2 hole with his speed but they have success with Pena there for whatever reason. If Jose Abreu is back I consider him at 2 or 3 if he's hitting enough for a good ob%. With this lineup, I see Tucker getting on and stealing a base. This makes them tempted to pitch around Yordan with the open base. Then you have 2 on for Bregman and Abreu to cleanup.

    Bench
    Dubon
    Meyers/McCormick
    Kessinger
    K Lee
    Brantley

Dubon rotates to give guys days off due to Diaz being primary DH. Dubon at DH hurts position flexibility for long games. Kessinger over Julks for position reasons. Lee has a good arm which may come in handy in a playoff situation since steals are up. Brantley used as a lefty pinch hitter and occasional DH. Could see Diaz catch once every 5 days. Maybe give him one pitcher to get to know really well and DH Brantley that day.

    Rotation
    Valdez
    Javier
    Brown
    Urquidy
    France

    Bullpen
    Pressly
    Abreu
    Stanek
    Montero
    Bielak
    Maton
    Neris

I would like to see them add Rich Hill. I think the cost may be low, something like Joe Perez and Forrest Whitley. I would use him as a 4 inning starter in front of someone like France or Bielak at 5 starter. He gives you another look as a lefty and has a lot of playoff experience. We don't need a top of the rotation guy or anyone long term with Garcia and Mccullers 1-2 years out. Hill at his age makes sense to me.

Would also be funny to watch Dodger fans reactions to him winning a ring in Houston.

I see you are not including Brantley.

    2B Altuve/Dubon
    SS Pena/Dubon
    DH Alvarez/Diaz
    3B Bregman/Dubon
    RF Tucker/McCormick
    1B Abreu/Diaz
    LF McCormick/Alvarez
    CF Meyers/McCormick
    C Maldonado/Diaz

Backups do not play in the same spot I. The order.

I hope Brantley is up for it. I have reservations of Diaz catching 80% of the games.

The only thing I don't like is Tucker not higher. I feel steals are more in play now and his ability to get into scoring position on his own in front of Yordan/Bregman/Abreu would be valuable.

I would like him in the 2 hole but don't want to diminish Pena’s value if he hits better there.

    Just my 2 cents...

There are only so many spots at the top of the lineup.

I think that putting either Yordan or Bregman in a spot that does not guarantee a PA in the 1st inning is criminal, but not everyone can hit at the too.

I personally think Bregman is the perfect #2 hitter.

I'm close to agreeing... if Bregman could steal some bases he would be perfect. Outside of that you are dead on... great guy to get on to set the table...

I think Tucker could be good too but ideally he would hit for less power and get on base more... kind of the opposite of Bregman.
