I would do that immediately, but I don’t think Detroit will. I think Cade is going to bust. I didn’t want him in the draft, and I don’t want him now
I may not agree with the names you mention us going after, but definitely agree with the process. You could get a mix, say Harrison Barnes (oldish vet), reeves up and coming (have to overpay), still would love bridges if we can pry him away from the nets with their draft picks.
That would be a pretty good outcome depending on the contracts. Harden / Amen / TyTy Green / KMJ / Christopher KPJ / Eason / Tate Jabari / Garuba Lopez / Sengun / Lively
These workouts make me laught. Including the terrible shooters, they don't miss. Has anyone ever had a bad workout that wasn't intentional like CB34?
19 Green Room invites. Who are the notables that aren't on that list? Prime candidates for us to be thinking about at 20! (Or look at the faller on draft day) My 2cents Major upside talents: Leonard Miller Whitehead GG Jackson Playing it safe (higher floor, lower ceiling) Kris Murray Sensabaugh Howard Reaching (you're hoping they have more than they have shown - hey, it happens!) Podziemski Colby Jones Cissoko
Just heard an interesting proposal; #4 and pieces for KAT. I would do #20 and Brooklyn's 2024 1st and their 2025 pick swap for KAT
I wouldn't take KAT into our cap space for free. He's starting a 35% of the cap supermax contract until 2028. If you're the team paying that contract to a non-top 20 player, you're screwed for the duration. Same situation as Bradley Beal. Not to mention the injuries, the lack of competitiveness / effort, and the poor playoff performances.
I wouldn't give up that much. KAT has shown that he can't guard the perimeter, and is unwilling to play C. I'd give them KPjr, Tate and Garuba plus pick 20. They would probably knock that back, which is fine by me!! I'll take him for low cost, and at no significant drain on our cap space (11mill less under that scenario - still 50ish remaining)
Likely none of Amen, Cam or Miller will be there at #6, but if the Pistons are all in on Cam, maybe we can swap with them, pick up something of value, and still get Amen. I have a hard time seeing Detroit draft Amen over Cam with Cade and Ivey on the roster.
I like pretty much everyone in the green room. Two guys not on the green room list that I really like are Podziemski and Nnaji.
Reading the Blazer forums, quite a few of them want to trade Dame to Houston for some young pieces. Another consideration if you are interested in a win now scenario.
I'm sure those "young pieces" are Green and Sengun. No thank you. Lets not trade for players over 30. Trae Young is a win now move. He's also 8 years younger than Lillard. At least there's a future there. Dame would be win now.. and never again.
Dame'd only agree to such a trade if we landed another name. Given the size of Dame's contract, unlikely.
