Senator Blackburn asked him about the FD-1023 relating the statement of a confidential source passing on information from a foreign national. The foreign national told the FBI source that he had bribed Joe and Hunter Biden. In Senator Grassley’s summary, the foreign national also told the FBI source that he had a total of 17 audio recordings with his payees, 15 with Hunter and two with Joe. Abbate conceded that the FD-1023 shown to the House Oversight Committee had been redacted. Abbate explained, “We often redact documents to protect sources and methods…the document was redacted.” Why was the reference to audio recordings redacted? “We have exceptional people,” Abbate responded. “The work relentlessly every day to keep this country safe…” What about the reference to recordings? “I have no idea if there are voice recordings or not,” Abbate told Senator Blackburn. But why the redaction? “This is a question of life and death potentially.” I’m beginning to wonder if the FBI is investigating the Biden family business or if that is just a rumor. Senator Cruz actually asked: “Did you investigate in any way shape or form these allegations?” Abbate would not comment. The committee hearing was directed to reauthorization of section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. Republican Senators took the opportunity to inquire regarding the FD-10123. Senator Hawley picked up the questioning where Senator Blackburn left off. With respect to abuses of section 702, readers will be pleased to know: Progress has been made. Chuck Grassley and other congressional GOPers are dead right to take the fight to the FBI over its longtime interference-running for the Biden mafia, most recently seen in Director Christopher Wray’s refusal to hand over key documents around allegations that Joe Biden took a huge bribe in exchange for policy decisions as vice president. But what’s happening in terms of investigating the allegations themselves? They know their full substance: that Joe and son Hunter got a total of $10 million for backing the ouster of a Ukrainian prosecutor looking into Mykola Zlochevsky, the head of Ukrainian energy company Burisma, which paid Hunter a juicy salary for a board position (though he lacked any experience in the sector or Ukraine itself). They know that these allegations come via a high-ranking Burisma exec, possibly Zlochevsky himself, and that this exec claims to have both Joe and Hunter on tape; they know the name and standing of the whistleblower — apparently a regular, reliable source for the FBI since 2010. And they know the claims don’t come via Rudy Giuliani; the FBI merely surfaced the 2017 allegations after he raised similar issues. So while Comer & Co. need to bring the hammer down on FBI malfeasance — as they’ve been doing — they must do anything and everything possible to get at the facts of the case here. That includes testimony from Zlochevsky: Those tapes, if they exist, have to be heard. Yes, Republicans have called for a special counsel, but do they really think Joe Biden will allow one to be appointed? They need to get involved themselves. Smoke alone is not enough. The Congress members involved in these probes need to show America the actual fire. A focus on process, i.e. the FBI’s shady dodging, makes it too easy for Dems like Rep. Jamie Raskin (and Biden himself, who blurted out a lame joke when asked by a reporter about the bribe allegations) to dismiss the affair out of hand — and also says nothing about the bigger public-interest story here. That would be whether or not the man now serving as president took an eight-figure bribe to help out an oligarch and split it even-steven with his ne’er-do-well national-security-risk son. The country needs to know soon. That same man is also the Dems’ anointed presidential candidate for 2024. And another election where Biden’s true colors are hidden by friends in high places would be a real threat to democracy.

Allegations with zero evidence are more serious?? How can something be more “serious” than something else when it literally has no evidence of existence?? Don’t get me wrong, Hillary’s scandals had plenty of Republican misinformation elevating it in the serious column of FoxNews watchers brains, but at least there was some evidence of mishandling of classified docs. But in this case you literally have no evidence anything in this scandal related to Joe Biden is actually true and the party that is throwing out this nonsense literally worships a cleric cult figure who lied tens of thousands of times on record. How about you forward to 6:20 in the video. Nowhere did Grassley say this was a 3rd party reporting the supposed recordings. The recordings the 3rd party has never seen nor heard. How come almost every single right wing commentator is not reporting it is 2nd hand information? Because Grassley made it seem it the 1023 is a first hand accout by the person who has the supposed recordings. If he wasn't doing this then his comments would have been "A 3rd party has reported there are recordings. The 3rd party has never seen or heard the recordings."
