You are not "simplifying". You are talking absolute rubbish. The thread title is "can he BECOME Jokic", not "is his trade value NOW as high as Jokic's". Jokic just won a title and was Finals MVP. Of course he will not be traded. My goodness, at least you cannot start threads. I can't believe I am even responding to someone with an IQ of 45. "I'll simplify it for you". lmao
I'm just telling you from my personal experience of what I saw standing next to Dream. Dream is 6'9 at best. I hope Alpi is 6'11 and I hope he has grown, because the Rockets need a LEGIT center. And it's a fact, players do grow into their early 20's. However, in that picture next to Dream, he looks shorter. Which would put him closer to 6'8 but if he has grown 2 inches since that pucture, as you and others say, that would make him 6'10
If he was an explosive 6'8 like Bam Adebayo, I wouldn't have an issue what so ever. Hopefully he can transform his body.
I think Sengun legitimately could be 6'11, but it's due to him having a long neck. His body, when looking at where his knees, hips, and shoulders are, is that of a guy who is 6'8 or 6'9. Unfortunately being a giraffe standing 6'11 doesn't come with the benefits of being a normal person standing 6'11. I think we'll just have to accept that he'll always be a slow, plodding, undersized center....and that's why IMO his ceiling is capped. He could still be decent though.
This was last year, he has said he’s grown. He has pretty much the same leg length, height and wingspan as Jabari. Just with a shorter torso, so his standing reach is shorter. He’s a better leaper than Jabari. Some of y’all just want to make stuff up. He is neither slow, unathletic or ridiculously undersized.
Don't worry so much man. Go look at Jokic and Murray's first few seasons, most of this board would have traded them away for the same EXACT reasons they are critical of Sengun and Green. Murray is too nice, not an alpha, inefficient, isn't giving 100% in the regular season. Jokic is a bad defensive C who is too slow and will forever get hunted. That would have been the narrative. There's always going to be people who say a great idea won't work. They want to tell you "oh the difference is Jokic is tall" but that's their grasping for straws argument. They 100% would still be sh*tting on Sengun if he was tall and bad at defense like Jokic was. They were not saying Jokic's saving grace was his height, they were saying he will never be a good defender even though he's tall. They never would have waited for Jokic to improve defensively, so his height wouldn't have mattered. They never would have expected Jokic can dominate a series defensively. They never would have believed Jokic can lead the league in assists. Nitpickers will nitpick, there's rarely any truth to it. They would do the same with a rookie MJ or a young Hakeem, doesn't matter. Some people want to win the "I spotted the fatal problem first" game and good for them, I guess there's an awesome prize for that.
In all seriousness, he’s probably about 6’10”. His shoulder height and standing reach is what’s really hurting him. He needs to be a 6th man and run the 2nd unit
He said he has grown since last season. They’re basically the same height right there. But your dumbass is talking about 6’8. Tari is 6’8 and alp is at minimum 3 inches taller than him
Of the 3 guys you just showed, who has the shortest wingspan and the shortest standing reach? Which one is the least athletic? Which one has the slowest feet? I'll give you a hint, it's the same guy. I know you guys try to ignore his shortcomings, but ignoring what is obvious won't change the facts.
Shortest standing reach is Tari, Jabari and Alp have the same wingspan. Alp has the slowest first step. He’s also a much better leaper than Jabari. Know what you’re talking about before you say something, specially since you’re a massive KPJOF.
Sengun is already better than DMo ever was, and it's not close. 6'10 sounds about right to me. The rest is nonsense, of course, as usual.
LOL, so now you're just going to outright lie like that? Tari has a slightly shorter shoulder height than Sengun but SIGNIFICANTLY longer arms which leads to a taller standing reach, Jabari has a longer wingspan than Sengun.....these are just facts. You lying about it cannot change them. I know you are a good and faithful servant of Sengun, but you don't do him any favors with such obvious lies.
No one is lying except you. Tari is significantly shorter than Alp. He has an 8’10 standing reach. Alp has the same wingspan as Jabari, his arms aren’t short, in the picture you can see Alp shoulder are quite a bit higher than Tari. Jabari wingspan was a reported 7’1 same as Alp. Both have grown since then. https://www.basketballnews.com/nba-draft/2022-nba-mock-draft/players/jabari-smith https://www.basketballnews.com/nba-draft/big-board/players/alperen-sengun There are reports of both having 7’2 wingspans, same as Tari. I was literally the first person here to say Alp has a lower standing reach because of shoulder height and neck length, but it’s still higher than Tari. Alp first step is not explosive but he has average to above average speed and lateral movement. Above average leaping. Use facts, not feelings.
Sengun has a longer neck than Tari, but their shoulders are about at the same height.....that's the thing that matters when you look at standing reach. Also, it's odd you outright lied about Tari's standing reach, it was measured at 8'11.5 at the combine.... As to Jabari and Sengun's wingspan, they are close, but Jabari's is 7'1 while Sengun's is 7'0.5. It's hilarious that you think you can fool people who actually watched Sengun play into believing that he has even "average" lateral movement or speed....unless you are comparing his speed to that of continental drift.
Their shoulders are nowhere near the same height. Tari standing reach is 8’11.5, looked in wrong row. He still would have the lowest standing reach due to his height. As far as lateral speed, no one is saying he’s fast. He’s average laterally. Your eyes don’t mean much, sorry
