Analysis: Fox News has been exposed as a dishonest organization terrified of its own audience | CNN Business Fox News has been exposed like never before. A trove of newly-released text messages and emails have laid bare how the right-wing media giant operated with little regard for fact in the weeks and months following the 2020 presidential election. The correspondence reveals that the network’s senior-most executives and highest-profile hosts chose not to disclose what they believed to be the truth of the election out of fear that that the facts would alienate Fox News’ audience and throw the highly profitable business into ruin. The messages were contained in a stunning legal filing made public on Thursday as part of Dominion Voting Systems’ $1.6 billion lawsuit against Fox News, showing the network’s executives and talk hosts privately trashing lies pushed by former President Donald Trump’s camp and his supporters asserting the 2020 election was rigged. But, despite privately acknowledging the realiity of the situation, the network allowed the lies to take hold on its air, in large part because executives and hosts were terrified that telling its sizable audience the truth would prompt them to tune out. ...

Caught on Tape: Trump Official Told Fox News Dominion Voting Machines Were Legit NEW audio of Rudy Giuliani admitting to Fox News’ host Maria Bartiromo that he had difficulty backing claims of Dominion Voting Systems’ involvement in election fraud. The recordings, revealed on Wednesday, also include audio of a Trump campaign official saying that when the Secretary of State did his Georgia audit, “there weren’t any physical issues with [Dominion] machines on those inspections.” that didn't stop Trump's state media, Bartiromo/Carlson/Dobbs/Hannity/etc., from repeating Orange hair's convenient lie
It’s just a joke to him. 40% of the country thinks Fox News is “fair and balanced” while they openly lie to their viewers.
This is the power of living in a bubble. Fox News isn’t going to report on themselves thst their top personalities are lying to their viewers.
I've admired Jon Stewart's contributions to autism awareness. Unfortunately, he's contributed more than almost anyone to the divisive tone and smug bravado that characterizes so much political "debate."

the woke left claims its victory Opinion: CNN’s Chris Licht showed the problem with anti-woke centrism https://www.washingtonpost.com/opin...ke-centrism-cnn-chris-licht-atlantic-profile/ excerpt: By anti-woke, what I mean is skepticism of progressive causes and ideas, especially on issues of gender, race and sexuality. The term “woke” is vague and imprecise. But I think it does capture the movements toward greater equality such as Black Lives Matter that have gained strength and prominence over the past decade, particularly since the protests after the killing of George Floyd. more at the link
Chris Licht’s failure at CNN is a bad sign for the news industry https://thehill.com/opinion/technol...e-at-cnn-is-a-bad-sign-for-the-news-industry/
I thought Licht was another CEO who stepped down from a sexual scandal. That Atlantic dump of an article makes it seem like he was a bad manager who wasn't up to the task of making a cultural shift at CNN. Even if he was right in principle, you still need a plenty of other skills to make that a reality. Better ratings and a vision for it would've been nice.
Fox News sends cease and desist letter to Carlson over Twitter show https://thehill.com/homenews/media/4045478-fox-news-tucker-carlson-cease-desist-letter/
What? Fox News attacking freedom of speech? I'm shocked that they have time to send a "cease and desist" letter to Carlson when they are so busy telling lies to those foolish enough to watch their news casts. Lies broadcast by Fox that are pointed out by Republican George Conway via @NewRoxFan in the post below:
