I know. Who was Jefferson's FIL?

But I was serious about the "how many of these Confederate jackasses" do we need to honor with statues and bases and such?

Look up Sibley. He's a not-so-proud relative of mine, my mom's maiden name.

Schuyler was a revolutionary war general, not a confederate.

Yes, I know, and a very, very bad one at that.

A nobody, take it down and move it, I say.

Was he a slave owning incompetent Confederate jackass?

Schuyler died in 1804 and didn't have a statue until 1925. The statue was donated by a guy whose wife was a Revolutionary war buff and since Schuyler was from Albany, George Hawley commissioned the statue in his wife's honor. People act like these statues were done to honor these people right after they died. They weren't

This thread voted pretty strongly that statue toppling shouldn't be tolerated. We aren't anarchists. But now statue removals are being conducted legally and through our elected representatives and you still aren't happy. Should we be stuck forever with these statues we decided we don't want?

Im anti-statue for declared enemies of the state, historical bad people who have inflicted harm on this country. No statue of Hitler, Bin Laden, Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, Chalres Manson, King George, Kim Jong anyone. Buts thats me.
