Because people conflate what that argument was, I don't deal in bullshit...if you don't spit out the truth it becomes a poor narrative. DD
The Rockets taking Scoot at four is a no brainer if they are lucky enough to get a chance. I don't see Amen as a fit. And I am totally against bringing in an over the hill Harden to teach the young guys bad habits.
Can't believe how naive this fanbase still is after last year's disaster. Banchero was supposed to fall to 3 and didn't happen. Scoot is special enough not to pass on just like Banchero is.
The question is, would the No. 3 pick and Simons be enough to land a star? That depends on how highly a team rates Henderson, who seemed a lock No. 2 pick six months ago but is now seen likely to go No. 3 — with Charlotte taking Brandon Miller at No. 2 — and there is buzz Henderson could fall further than that. https://nba.nbcsports.com/2023/06/1...k-with-simons-for-star-want-to-re-sign-grant/
Only if he completely shat the bed in workouts. Even then they will not just turn a blind eye on his G-League performance and upside.
Technically we thought he was ours until the last day or two. Jabari was the #1 to take player all year until they went to workouts and realized he sucks.
It’s possible size is King . webmy Miller Amen all have a few inches at least on scoot . Who’s the last Team to win a ring with their best player under 6’5” … doesn’t happen much
The vibe around here was actually complaining because we were stuck with Banchero, everyone thought he was going 3rd until the night of the draft.
Yeah, true. Clutch in particular was very "Smith over Bachero" and probably majority on this forum shared the sentiment. I was fine with either, and I still think both will be very good players. I also liked Ivey. Anyone but Chet was my thinking.
I know it was crazy. I was a huge Banchero Buddy and was so excited about the chance that he could have been a Rocket.
