If we could get in between Portland and Toronto dealing for #3, without giving up #4... draft both twins? Man that would be craaaaazy.

Siakam is not worth that. He’ll be 30 next season.

    Where does Jabari play?

I agree too much. In that scenario, I would guess that Jabari plays the 3.

I assume this scenario also has Harden coming in at the 1 with the goal of building a playoff caliber roster.

Otherwise, I REALLY don't see the point.

Green and #4 lol. Siakam cant extend so no go even with a giant overpay.

I’ve seen projections that have Pascal not even signing a max. Not possible but if we could re up him at 4 years 146 I would do #4, #20 and Christopher+Garuba for Siakam and #13.

Well, I realize this upcoming season is probably the best season. Harding has left and now I have to think that if he signs with us, he would be open to the idea that we might not a choir this veteran wing man in the next two months, but rather over the next 14 months.

I prefer James come home. Im open to 4 years 160 and would even guarantee the 3rd year.

I really don’t want to trade young players or assets until it is the right wing man.

I like Siakam a good but but his 3 ball is eh and we could just sign him next off-season.

Green, Smith, Sengun and Eason are off the table for me… anything else can go in a Siakam trade.

When was the last time a high lotto pick was traded shortly before the Draft .....

And now the Number 3 and Number 4 picks are being talked over and over.

I would guess less than 50% but not a longshot. Bane is an elite shooter and efficient scorer. Green is a work in progress...

    Exactly.

We would basically be trading Green, KPjr, 4, Smith's position and Senguns touches...

    I don't think so.

Nembhard vs Christopher? We need to see some of our guys play under a real coach before we throw them under the bus so quickly.
Amen Thompson is a Hall of Famer if he hits above 30% from 3. If that happens, imagine looking back and realising we traded it for Nembhard and Farieds big brother....

    we tanked for #1...
we woulda been happy at #2...
Miller looks like a solid option at #3...
    beyond that... it's a crapshoot...

imo we got enough projects... we need leadership...

we've endured the tanking, we dont own our pick next year... its time to piss or get off the pot.

If we got the ability to lure upper level talent with merely our cap space - great... but if it means we get to outbid and overpay for Julius Randle..... im gonna pass on that.

i think its gonna come down to dealing that #4 pick... and absorbing more incoming than outgoing - to provide cap relief to whatever team we're dealing with (get the prize but take the dud attached)... and hopefully a poopoo platter of whatever mix of kpj, kmj, tate, and whatever else... can get us back a potential marque player...
    who that guy is...?
    i havent a clue...

    lol

The more I think about it, the more intriguing it is to trade down with Orlando:

    4 + 20 + Josh Christopher (+ Tate)
    For
    6 + 11 + Jalen Suggs

I think there is a high chance that if Rockets don’t draft Amen at 4, he will fall beyond Detroit (Note that Jon Wasserman alluded to the same in his recent article). So if Rockets are high on the Thompson brothers, why not do this trade? Try to pry Suggs away from the Magic.

Still get to choose Amen with decent chance!
May get away with Ausar / Cam , which is not bad!
Select Cason / Derek / Jett at 11. I feel Jett won’t slip all the way to 20, nor would Derek Lively. It’s not bad!

Would you be happy with Ausar Thompson, Cason Wallace and Jalen Suggs, or Amen Thompson, Derek Lively and Jalen Suggs?

I would do it in a heart beat.
