Nothing about this dude's history shows a qualification to make decisions for society. This dude has zero intellectual curiosity and is incapable of having any sincere discussion about structures and systems. Dude is a walking platitude.
That or he's promising to pardon no one. Either way you can already see how hopeless Pence's candidacy is.
I mentioned this in another thread. The only hope I can see Pence having is if something unusual happens and the nomination goes to the convention. I can see Pence as a pick between establishment Republicans and Evangelicals.
vivek is a smart man with a good education. He had good ideas when he first entered the race. This is the core issue of the republican party. Ideas and policy doesnt matter. Vivek soon realized that nobody on the right gives a **** about income inequality or taxes. Its sad watching him go full qnon in the hope of a cabinet job. This is why the republican party is incapable of governoring. They have to appease to the extreme of their party.
This dude couldn't lead his way out of a paper bag. Capitalism has made untalented men into people that have clout. It's sad.
Soooooooo....he wants all the gop contenders to sign a letter that they will pardon trump if elected.............before the trial and they see all the facts?? And he is surprised that no one has done that? I hope folks like this guy do realize that the indictment is probably about 35% of the total case and facts, who knows what else will come out at trial? Why is he running against trump yet he seems to be a big supporter? Outside of his beliefs that I don't agree with , he seems like a bright individual............I have a feeling he is playing to the base and the entire maga crowd, maybe he thinks he will get a job if trump wins??
I see it the other way. I think Vivek is trying to win over the Trump supporters in case Trump is knocked out. Trump supporters are sour on the other candidates. Could open up a lane for Vivek in the scenario that Trump simply cannot run for one reason or another. Not sure it's going to play out that way, but it's a strategy that makes some sense. Furthermore, I see Vivek as too ambitious to be playing for 2nd place or for scraps. He's trying to come up with a longshot way to actually win.
So. From a tactical perspective, I think what Vivek is doing is very smart. He raises his profile - if Trump somehow gets knocked out of the race, he might scoop up a lot of his voters, or if Trump wins, he might even become VP or get another high profile position that sets him up for 2028. That said, I totally disagree with his call to say whether one would pardon Trump in 2025 or not. It's pure posturing. How about letting the judicial process play out? It seems wrong to make a commitment to pardoning Trump "no matter what" before the fact-finding process is even concluded.
I wonder what groups and demographics Vivek is tracking with. I'm betting the Kennedy guy is getting bigger numbers among Vivek's hopeful constituents. I'm getting GWB vibes from Pence's reply? Is he getting speech coaching from Dub's handlers?
he comes off as an opportunistic ass kisser imo, should Trump be knock out of the presidential race, his base would vote for someone who comes off as a fighter, not a pathetic ass kisser
