Can anyone research if anyone has signed a premier free agent hitter to a $20MM/yr contract and he had an OPS south of 50 as late as June 7th? Sorry to tell you this, but whoever the new manager is next year is also going to be batting Abreu in the top 6 of the lineup too, unless the team signs more top-tier free agent hitters to bump him down.
Kessinger’s grandpa played 16 seasons and never had a season with a wRC+ above 89. His uncle only got a few at bats but walked as much as he struck out and was a league average hitter. Let’s hope Grae takes the best of both worlds, 16 seasons as a league average hitter playing SS.
At least Diaz is playing. Julks is gonna play everyday until he gets that OPS over .700, then he can sit.
After going 4 for 5 Dusty wouldn’t even put his bat in the lineup the next night. Dusty has 2 choices where to put him and chose someone else at both. While salazar was here Dusty had 3 choices every night. Embarrassing.
You give him much more respect than I would. You aint batting until I see you cork it day-in/day-out during BP... these youngStars need the reps. What selfish pr!cks-- both he and Dusty.
This lineup will do damage tonight if Abreu reaches twice and doesn't GIDP Diaz over Maldy enhances our chances automatically
Not if he doesn’t significantly improve the rest of the year they won’t A guy like Kevin Cash would have already moved him down.
