Republicans been in charge of TX for how long now, and what have they done to address the issue? It’s an easy campaigning issue like abortion used to be

As for calling this human trafficking, even if it genuinely is, does anyone think DeSantis is actually gonna be hauled in front of a judge? The San Antonio sheriff is basically doing extra credit work for no reason

 

You need to re-read the definition of human trafficking. Also, present evidence that the happy people on this photo who consented to their trip verbally and in writing were tricked or coerced.

 

The tweet doesn't blow up any narrative. If there is truth to the reports of immigrants being lied to about getting guaranteed jobs and housing, of course they'd be happy on the plane ride.

 

Isn't that hope why they immigrated illegally in the first place?

And I'm not blaming them for it individually, they are just seeking a better life for themselves and their families, but of course, it's a difficult topic.

And politicians from both sides try to score points with it.

Easy to virtue-signal and declare yourself a sanctuary city or state. Lots of hypocrisy and finger-pointing.

But then, if too many come and you are in a position of responsibility, suddenly the tone changes. A lot.

 

Why not? I thought Newsom said that California is a sanctuary state, "a state which actively offers political support to undocumented immigrants through an official government capacity"?



How can you call yourself a sanctuary state in order to virtue-signal, and then be big mad when you get taken by your word?

Do something, Newsom, and help these people. You promised it.

He didn't read the article to know. He just saw a headline. He ignored these were minors and most were being sent to family.

 

Did you read the articles? They are helping the people. Any sane person would have coordinated. No they just lied to get people on the plane and dropped them off. Immigrants who have court dates and are here legally as of now.

Newsom proudly announced they will not deport. But if you don't deport, you have to give them housing, and a perspective to eventually be able to earn a living...right?
